James Stewart Returns to Racing

Making a Return

After a highly successful inaugural event in 2014, Red Bull Straight Rhythm will return for a second consecutive year. The 2015 event will take place on October 10 and will once again be held at Fairplex in Pomona. An evolution of the sport of supercross, the event features head-to-head racing on an “unwound" track, where there are no turns, just a 1/2 mile-long straight rhythm section. Gates open at 11 a.m. Racing starts at 1 p.m.

The October 10 event will also witness the return of James Stewart to competitive racing, marking his first race since he won the Open Class at Red Bull Straight Rhythm in 2014. Stewart will look to harness the power of the horses that once ran at the track to defend his Open Class title. Invites are out to the world’s top riders, and the full field of confirmed riders will be announced in the coming months.

“I’m stoked to be competing again, and it’s special to make my return at Red Bull Straight Rhythm so I can defend my title,” said Stewart. “The unique design of this track paired with the win or go home format of this race makes it really fun for the riders and exciting for the fans.”
