1996 CB750 Nighthawk Replacement

Initially I had a hard time finding something to replace the factory 4 into 2 cast aluminum exhaust. Once I found these I decided to bite the bullet and go ahead and get them. Turns out it was a great decision! I am by no means a seasoned mechanic but installation was really straightforward and fitment was excellent. Not only does this give my bike a cleaner more minimalistic look with the 4 into 1 now on the throttle side (instead of on both sides as was from factory) but there was also a tremendous amount of weight savings versus the OEM system... Oh and not to mention they sound completely awesome (especially since I've pretty much blown the baffling material out of the megaphone)! I installed them almost 3 years ago now, they're holding up superbly and I have absolutely no regrets over pulling the trigger on these. If you're looking for a quiet exhaust system keep looking, but if you want a little bit of attitude, weight savings and less of a bulky look to your bike I would highly recommend them and would definitely make this purchase again!

Lovely looking exhaust. Sounds just right, although I've only had it running in my garage. I found it easy to fit. Took about 40 minutes. So far no exhaust gasket leaks. Nice fit that doesn't hang down too far with the muffler hugging the frame. Definitely recommended. Can't rate durability yet.

Pretty and loud!

Looks and sounds great! The only problem is the exhaust spacers are too long so keep your stock ones to use.

The collets on this pipe are 4mm too long. I used stock ones instead but surely they should get this right. Otherwise this Vance and Hines is a good fit and finish. Looks and sounds great.

Fit and Finish Good But a Bit Loud.

Put on a 1981 KZ1000 K1, J motor. Fit perfect, no problems. Chrome not bluing. Oil filter removal requires header removal. Oil change, Header can be left on the bike and filter drained. Oil drain plug access is good. The exhaust was loud, repacked it and it is quieter now but still do not like the sound. Bought this because currently made MAC headers do not fit, Pipe presses on bottom of the transmission. J motor has larger head/profile.

Nice....

Bought this for my 1984 kz700. Not much hardware came with it. Fit bike perfectly but the inserts they sent were too long. Could not get the nuts started on the studs. Used the old inserts with the new exhaust and that was it. Sounds and looks awesome. Would recommend.

Amazing "no adjustment" fit. Bizarrely the V&H sticker was put on upside down!

Less than 30 minutes installation time. Everything lined up with no problems. Appearance is great, sounds fantastic. Don't know about durability so I gave it three stars. Feel it was well worth the price. Nice to know I can still get parts for my older bike.

This header will not fit my 1980 kz750e. Looks great but would have to do some grinding on the retainers and flanges to make it fit. Also it hits the frame on both sides. This was the second one I tried and they were both the same. I had a 1981 gs 750 susuki and it fit great so their jig for a kawasaki must not be very good.

This exhaust does not fit a kawasaki 750. The flanges are not formed correct.

I pulled the header out of the box and there are rust marks where the bolt flanges seat on the header. (One flange was rusted on). There is no chrome in the seam area. The rest of the chrome is brilliant and the header tucks under the bike much better positioned than stock. I can even keep my highway bars on the sides should I wish! Muffler looks good but hasn't been started. I'm sending it back and try another.

Vance and Hines 4 to 1 is awesome

I replaced my stock 4 to 2 exhaust with this 4 to 1 exhaust and immediately my motorcycle sounded and looked better. I haven't even gotten the carbs rejetted yet and already I can tell a slight bit more power on take off. Everyone tells me how much cleaner my bike looks. The chrome is brilliantly shiny. Hope it lasts.
