Great tires

I've been riding for years, my Suzuki gs1100 has been built for speed. I've used these tires for years and got great performance. but with any tire if you accelerate aggressively you will shorten the tire life, also the tire has a semi soft compound for traction. More traction, less tread life rules of the tire industry.

D404 Metric Cruiser Rear Tire wears out fast

Pretty good all around tire except for tread wear. I ride pretty easy and sometimes with a light passenger I get about 10k km. That's only 6200 miles for you southern folks.

Tire wear

I am looking at replacing my tires for the first time since I bought this bike new. 2005 VTX 1300S. Have 12,000 miles on bike. Seems they wear very well. D404 front and K558 rear. Not sure how aggressive those with poor wear reviews ride but for running around on cruises and back and forth to work, I think they are a great tire and price is much less than other "high quality" brands.

Works For me

I'm reading all these negative ratings, can't agree as of yet-maybe haven't put enough miles on them, but as for now riding like a champ. no noise on the road, no issues on turns and still look decent and for the price, Dont know if I'll even look at another tire.

Rear tire Dunlop 150?80b

Must be the shortest life tire on the market. Bought a 2003 Nomad with new tires one year ago 3.000 miles and back tire is worn out. Have had cycles for over 30 years and never heard of a tire wearing out so fast.

Poor mileage

I would not buy this tire again as I only got less than 4,000 miles on it before it was wore out (bald)! This was apparent before the end of an extended road trip.

Dumlop 404 Review

I have run these on several motorcycles over the years. I don't think that they can be beat for the money.

Tired of tires

My last tire was a Metzeler 880 (rear) got 16000 miles mounted on my 96 shadow 1100. front was kenda. changed them both out at same time. 16000 miles ..and both did there job for the past 18 months. Now a dunlop (rear) and a shinko front.....I like the way it takes the corners. But than again there new. time will tell...

Great Tire. Will buy again

I was pleasantly surprised after using this tire for a few months. I travel on I-95 everyday. The road condition is not bad but there are many creases and cracks down the 30 mile stretch that I travel. With the previous tire I felt everyone of the road imperfections causing instability and wobble when driving over them. With this tire it is a much more rigid rubber allowing the bike to handle the road conditions much better. I have definitely found a new favorite tire.

Dunlop D404 Metric Cruiser Rear Tire

The price was great, though reviews shows a very short life! I am surprised Dunlop would put their name on such a tire. Time will tell as I have less than a thousand miles on them. "You get what you pay for", I guess, is the theme here! Thanks!
