I dont really know about cornering i use it 4 dragracing. Wear is excellent get a full season out of 1 + I heat it up in 2ndgear. Won track championship 2 of last 4 years on that tire. Cant beat it if your racing on a tight budget like me.

I just put my Shinko Verge on my 99 sv650 after having the 005 advance on it. Compared to the advance these are amazing after 30 miles i was able to touch my pegs and drag knee in the corners. I was never able to do this on the 005's. This tire also heats up about twice as fast and twice as hot. I will be soon buying the front to match

Great tire, Great price

I looked all over for a tire that would give me a 50/50 balance between grip/tread life. Being new to riding I did not feel like I would be pushing any tire to its grip limits and didn't want to buy a soft tire that I would just square off in 5000 miles. I got a pair of the 009's for my FZ6 and then put 12,800 miles on them!!!! I never felt anything but 100% confidant in the tires sticking. So I bought another set :)

Worst tire Dont buy

I bought my bike with these tires on it and they were still new. I put 2000 miles on my sv650 and the tires were banana peels. Cornering sucked I slid out a dozen times going less than 30 mph. They seemed to never heat up. Wet traction was okay I rode in the rain once and got caught in the snow once and didn’t have a problem when I was going slow. I recommend the 011 verge 10x better.

Best track /street tire

I've used this tire on every bike I've had. For racing on street can't go wrong, track as well. All I can say is when other guys are losing traction. I put two/three bikes out the hole on them. Even against the new Hook-up that Shinko has.
