Sidi Discovery Rain Boots

Sidi, continuously researching new technological solutions to enhance rider safety, is proud to present the Discovery Rain boot. With Sidi’s great style, feel, support and quality there are no finer performance off road boots in the world.

Non-Bootie Designs: Sidi boots do not incorporate inner booties into their design, and for good reason. Booties make the design larger and cumbersome; add to the boot’s thickness, which interferes with shifting, plus the inner booties retain body heat affecting the rider’s performance and comfort.

Buckles: Sidi’s exclusive cam-lock buckle system is acknowledged as the finest system on the planet. It must be as most of Sidi’s competitors have attempted to copy various aspects of it. The cam-lock buckle system incorporates a strap memory retention system. Adjust the straps once and they will be at the same position for every ride after that! No more readjusting.

Heat Shields: Each Sidi boot is equipped with an anti-heat undressed leather protection panel at the same height of most motorcycle’s exhaust heat shields.

Replaceable Parts: Every bolt on component of each Sidi off road boot is available separately.

Composite Insole: A cushioned liner is provided that can be removed if the rider desires a more roomy fit. Sidi does not use steel shanks riveted to its insole like most manufactures, details such as this enable Sidi boots to enjoy a multi year service life versus the competitors multi month lifespan as over time, a steel shank can deteriorate, rust and fracture exposing the rider to injury.

Lining: Cambrelle is a lining that, due to its particular polyimide structure, guarantees a rapid drying rate after the boot gets wet or sweaty. This prevents the onset of mold forming which extends the boots lifespan dramatically. The Teflon treated mesh panels in the rear calf area of the boot allow humidity to escape while the boot is in use.

Nice feeling boots

After trying many boots, these boots are very comfortable right out of the box. Nice leather and they look to be very well made.

Sidi Discovery Boot

Comfortable right out of the box. I tried on at least 20 other pairs none to my liking. Good toe, heal and shin protection...but other areas of the boot could use a bit more armor. However, they were designed to be a full on motocross boot, so I can't really take points away for that. Anyway, I'm fussy about the way my boots fit...and I love these!

Sidi Discovery Boot

Awesome boots. I lucked-out when I chose this boot. My first choice I sent back, but the Discovery is comfortable and has great buckles. On and off fast - a plus. This boot works great for my quading adventures. Walking in them feels great too. 6 stars.

Sidi Discovery Boot

Best offroad dualsport boot I have ever had. Comfortable from ride one. Have not put too many miles on them yet so it’s hard to say how they will wear over time. Seem to be a well constructed boot so they should last. Excellent feel while riding or walking, really in a class of its own.

Sidi Discovery Boot

This is the first Sidi product I have purchased/owned. This has been one of the best pieces of gear I have purchased over the last couple of years. The boot is highly functional and adjustable. The foot bed is shaped well and could accept many different types of feet. Highly adjustable throughout the calf as well. I highly recommend these boots in just about any situation. I just returned from a week long tour of Colorado with plenty of dual sport riding and they performed flawlessly, even

Sidi Discovery Boot

Have only used these boots twice since purchase but the quality seems to be excellent. They are comfortable but still very stiff. They should get even better with more break-in time.

Great boots

These boots rock. By far the best looking too. After they get broken in (a little stiff across the crown of my foot) they're going to be hard to ever get rid of. I'll probably seek a cobbler to re-sole them once they do get in need. I'm wearing them right now at my desk at work because they're so comfortable. I use them for dual sport and commuting. Haven’t taken the steel toe off as I like the look and knowledge I have them if I need them. Steel toe may be a problem on some wood floors so watch it if you don't want a frying pan upside your head!

Great "Dual Sport" Boot

I purchased the Sidi Discovery boots after taking an off-road riding clinic on my BMW GS. “Dual-sport” boots like the Discovery boots were a point of discussion, offering off-road features but with some touring comfort, and I’m pleased to say that these boots have exceeded my expectations. After a short break-in, I find them comfortable for multi-hundred mile rides, but at the same offered better off-road protection than my old touring boots. The buckle system was a bit cumbersome at first, but it’s now intuitive, as I’ve learned how not to upset the adjustment while opening and closing. I do need to be a bit careful when walking across the floor, as the metal toe guard does scrape. I originally purchased these boots to supplement my touring boots, but I find myself wearing them in place of them – I like the fit and the style matches my GS. I’d recommend these boots to anyone looking for a quality “dual-sport” boot.

Great boots!

I'm so glad I purchased these boots. My bike stalled out in over 8 inches of water. I was forced to stand in it and my feet were completely dry. Waterproofing that works!

130,000km with same Boot

My Husband and I both bought this SIDI boot in 2005, have since done 6months riding on two (2) 1200GS through the Middle East & Eastern Europe. Followed by one (1) year around Africa, 32 countries, 68,000km all with this boot. No failures at all. Retired them now and will buy a new set for the Russia trip.

The perfect dual sport boot for me

I ride a BMW dual sport G650GS on steep, twisty, gravel and rock trails and roads in the Ouachita and Ozark mountains of Arkansas. This is the perfect dual sport boot for me. Descriptive words and phrases that come readily to mind: beautiful, protective, comfortable, firmly supportive yet flexible, and worth the money and the required breaking in. Fit, finish and support are suggestive of high end mountaineering or telemark boots -- all of which require some degree of "breaking in" and getting accustomed to. Weight is relatively light, considering the high degree of protection offered. Buckles are the very best I've ever had on any boot and offer a wide range of easy adjustment. Overall, a very thoughtfully designed and well constructed boot.

Best Boots

What can I say? You've probably tried the rest, which is why you're reading about Sidi boots. They ARE as good as you hope. You've only got one pair of feet to last your whole life, and they deserve it. Size wise, some Sidi's are known for being narrow, but these fit my Fred Flintstones just fine. I got a 45, which is listed as US11, and it corresponds well to Nike 11. I also wear 45 in Alpinestars, but they don't leave as much room for bulky socks in the winter. In the summer, If you like really thin socks, as I do, you can use athletic insoles.

great boot

Sprayed twice with waterproofing, before using the first time. Great feeling boot while riding or walking. Had to move the shifter up one notch to fit the boot correctly w the shifter for the boot thickness. can wear for 10+ hours w no comfort problems. Great boots for on/off road road riding. Felt safe and protected should I have to lay it down. Not as tall as standard mx boots, so walking was easier. Great boot for all types of off road riding...tp

Worth the $

I ride winters here and these boots were the final piece of the puzzle. Quick to put on/off (I change at work) and comfortable in 13 degree weather (thick socks of course). I wear a 10.5 in everything else, but had to get a EUR 44 in these.
