Cramp Buster - Why did I not buy one of these before?
I picked up a cramp buster for my KLR-650 because of pain in my right wrist on long trips. This simple piece of plastic did an excellent job of relaxing my grip on the throttle and allowed my wrist to be aligned on the grip at a more relaxed angle. I tried it out on a recent four day trip through the Smoky Mountains and it worked like a charm. There's a lot of throttle work going through the mountains, especially on a KLR, and I never once had an issue with the cramp buster getting in the way or being a safety issue. I'll add that I have the cramp buster mounted on my Oxford heated grips and there was no issue with the cramp buster slipping. This is a great piece of kit!
Great improvement. Took another reviewer's advice and used dish soap to lubricate the grips to slide over factory grips. Worked like a charm. Way less hand fatigue than from just the factory grips. Love them. Would buy them again and would recommend to others.
Bike Master Hand Mitts are an excellent value. If you want to extend your riding season deeper into the fall and start earlier in the spring, this is a great way to do it!
The fit isn't perfect, but I understand that they are 'one-size-fits-all'. I have a '12 Suzuki DL650 with Suzuki hand guards, so I have a lot going on up there already, but they do fit around all off that and the wind protection is outstanding! I am now comfortable down to 40* and would highly recommend these to anyone looking for an option to heated grips.
