About Harley-Davidson Road King Motorcycles - The Harley-Davidson Road King is a classic cruiser that combines Harley heritage styling with long-range touring comfort. The First Harley-Davidson Road King debuted in 1994, replacing the Electra Glide Sport. The original Harley-Davidson Road King featured a full-dresser-style headlight cover and a signature five gallon Fat Bob fuel tank with twin gas caps. A favorite among Harley fans, the Harley-Davidson Road King’s performance has evolved over time. In 1995, fuel injection was added, and in 2002 the Harley-Davidson Road King received a new swingarm and improved rear suspension. The power plant has grown from the original 1340cc to a 1450cc twin cam in 1999, to the current rubber mounted, five-speed 1584cc Twin Cam 96. The Harley-Davidson Road King and the Road King Custom are timeless, boulevard cruisers that are fully equipped for comfortable long distance touring.
