Thor Motocross Force Kneeguards

Thor has taken the finest kneeguard and made it better. Completely redesigned to incorporate a floating kneecup that's encapsulated in durable Aramid material, the new Force Kneeguard offers improved comfort and performance. Designed for riders that require more coverage than conventional kneeguards, but less support than expensive kneebraces, The Force is in a class by itself.

Thor's innovative dual-pivot system mimics the action of the knee without the bulky mechanics that can get hung up on your bike. So you'll feel more like you're wearing standard knee guards, and less like a human robot.

The Force Kneeguards are also anatomically correct, so there's a specific left and right side which match the contour of your legs for improved comfort and reduced chafing.

Features:
  • Perforated neoprene chassis for support and secure fit
  • Extended thigh protection
  • Impact resistant polyethylene knee cup is encapsulated in durable Aramid fiber for maximum coverage
  • Dual pivot system mimics anatomical action of the knee
  • Custom inverted post latching system
  • Asymmetrical design for comfort and fit

  • Sizing:
  • Size S/M fits most riders up to 5'7" tall
  • Size L/XL fits most riders taller than 5'7"
  • Item # 9377

Works great, lasts a long time!

My 16 year old son rides a dirt bike cross country. These are light yet offer good knee and shin protection. Works great and lasts a long time!

Thor Force Kneeguards

I highly recommend them and do not ride or feel safe without them anymore. Wish I had them in my office when I tripped over the phone cord.

Force kneeguards

These kneeguards are sick! As both a rider and Athletic Trainer (sports medicine), I really appreciate these kneeguards, a combination of knee pad and knee brace. Taking a fall, the problems are not only direct impact and bruising (contusion) but also front/rear and side-to-side stress on the knee joint causing ligament damage (sprain of ACL, MCL, LCL, PCL). While no kneeguard can guarantee total protection, I think this one goes a long way. It fits well and does not interfere with normal knee movement. Two disadvantages, the brace must extend well above and below the knee (down into boots) which may cause problems buckling boot tops over them. The other is the velcro straps which may pinch or irritate bare skin behind legs. Easy fix is get some cloth between leg and straps like full leg tights/underwear or full leg length racing socks, or go to a sporting goods store and pick up a pair of hockey socks.

Thor knee gaurds

These are by far the best knee guards I've ever purchased, especially for the price.

Good Product

Good product, just make sure you attach the velcro pieces well, as they can rub during a long ride

A++

Me and my boyfriend tested out three braces, these won. The fact that they come in sizes is a huge plus. The S/M fit me great (I'm 5'5" with longer legs and normal width). They aren't too long like the Answer Alpha and Fox Titan. They take a little while to break in, so they feel a bit stiff at first. The neoprene on the back is awesome because you don't have to wear anything underneath them. They are also low profile enough to wear under pants, but they offer superior protection. Very pleased.

Quality Protection

I have used these non-stop for two weeks for training and I can say that they have served me well. I use them with the Sidi Discovery Rain boot and they conveniently tuck in the boots. The Sidi Discovery Rain boots are not a tall boot so this may be a factor if you are using a full size boot. I didn't "bail" during the two weeks so I cannot comment on the protection provided, however, they kept my knees well protected from knocking against the tank. They offer plenty of mobility off the saddle as well as on. My only real complaint with these guards is the Velcro stitching on the right lower calf was substandard and came loose on my second day. This is why I gave the durability a 4. I would definitely recommend this product to someone looking for a well designed knee/shin guard without the cost of a full blown knee brace.

Very Nice Guards

I'm very impressed with these guards, but I probably should have done a little more research. I have Sidi Crossfire SRS boots and the guards have to be tucked into my boot. Once tucked in, they make me look like I have a robot leg with Schwarzenegger's calf. That being said, I can still move around without any issues. They work very good and provide excellent protection for the $$$. Only recommendation would be to verify if you want them tucked in your boots or not. If not, you should probably go with a more low profile design like the Static or something.

"Incredible deal!"

These are an "incredible deal" they are a step or two over and above all the other knee protection available. They have all the design concerns/features of the Top Dollar equipment, without the Top Price$. The main difference is the materials, the 'Big Boys' did the R&D and produced a great product, but our gain is an economical deal. All the others on the market list "one size fits most" but the High Dollar$ know that for effective protection it has to fit very closely with your ergonomics. The THOR has this and much more, "it's all good!" Thank You again for your: prices, quick delivery, service, and a Customer Service dept. that actually works!, Motorcycle-Superstore is the BEST! ps: I rated it one point down on the durability, the materials look to be excellent, however time will tell, if I crash & burn and can walk away with all my parts working then whatever I paid for the protection is 'priceless'!

Thor Force knee gaurds

I was looking for knee protection somewhere between a knee brace and a basic knee pad and I feel like this design really has the balance between the two.The overall fit is real good but because of the hinge support it will reduce your mobility a little. The Velcro behind the ham string will sometimes rub but with a little readjustment that can be remedied. One foot note is that if you wear your riding pants tucked in, be sure to use pants that are sheer or light(thin) in the calf area because after tucking the lower part of the shin guard into the boot, things get a little cramped to buckle up(if you have larger than normal calves' you my have trouble buckling the upper part of boot. Overall I give this design an A- only because of the shin area needs to be a little shorter or thinner to accommodate the tucked in boot issue. Protection factor is a A++ for this item. I ride Veteran/Expert Motocross so it works very well in that environment.

Excellent Choice

The best Kneeguards I can get! Perfect protections, very comfortable. Pros: Easy to use, very strong material, Cons: A little expensive, You probably need some clothes behind the kneeguards because the velcro itches.

great protection but hot

Like the protection compared to my cheaper kneeguard. Feel that they are worth the cost but keep in mind they are hot and need something (like cut up sock) behind the velcro on thigh as it started to rub after a long day's ride.

Start and end your search here...

For something shy of an actual knee brace these really fit the bill. My wife and I each have them and other than the fact we are both just slightly between sizes they are a great product. When on the bike I don't even know they are on my legs and I appreciate the extra protection they offer.
