fuel pak results

I own a 2015 road king with all the lean and heat troubles they all have. After a lot of research I bought S&S header pipes with a cross-over port, they look like true duals, and I kept the stock mufflers. Then I downloaded Fuel PAK FP3 for touring models other systems and loaded 2 into one with cross-over or similar pipe with stock baffles. I kept the factory air cleaner. The bike is a little louder than stock, sounds more like a Harley, all the decell popping and backfire is gone, acceleration is better, roll-on is better and the motor is a lot cooler, I mean way cooler, it runs a lot better, sounds better and all the exhaust and oil temperature worries are a thing of the past.I am a little lost with all this dyno talk, air cleaner swapping and mufflers. I have run a foreign car repair center for 43 years, raced top fuel dragsters, motorcycles, and snowmobiles both 2 stroke and 4 stroke with super chargers, so you may have guessed by now that I know a little more than the average gut about tuning, and building engines. If you do not go inside the engine and you have the same cams, pistons and compression, and you have the same cam timing and the valves open and close at the stock settings how does the engine flow a lot more air with a filter and exhaust pipe, if it does it is a small amount and maybe it will be a tad leaner but nothing note worthy.Vance and Hines knows all this and they have dynoed these motors and created a software download from these stock engines and put it in their product called FUEl Pak to make it very easy for us to basically get the dyno results without killing are bikes on the dyno, ever seen a bike on the dyno, you will not like your engine run like this. In my opinion this is the very best, fastest, easiest way to make your Harley what it should have been before the EPA tied up the manufacturer with their emissions standards.I spoke with Vance and Hines and even though I was using an S&S front pipe they were very good about recommending Fuel Pak for my application, that is good business to me. Bottom line, GREAT PRODUCT, it does what they promise for a great price.

Did just what was needed

I bought a Yamaha Roadstar 1700, got a great deal on it, it had aftermarket pipes and air cleaner but was jetted improperly causing a big lean condition. Bought the dynojet kit, the instructions were easy to follow and it came with plenty of jets for tuning. Got it all together following dynojet recommendations and it runs like a dream. Easy starts and great smooth power.

Great Device

I like that I can change the MAP on it from higher RPMs in the low end or high end. But now more power means more fun and I might think about a bigger bike.

Awesome Product

I had a 2007 R1 with a power commander 5 Graves full race exhaust and professionally tuned. And, you know those bikes only make a hundred and forty-nine horsepower stock mine was tuned to 172.8 the bad is R1 in the Midwest... Better ask somebody.

Nice tuner!

Install on my Yamaha Stratoliner was very easy, took less than 30 minutes. Luckily the tuner for my bike uses a 6 pin connector and not the injector connectors- so many seem to have a problem. Operation and tuning is easy. No PC needed and you can tune any time you want, even on the fly if you were to mount it where you can operate it while riding. That's not happening with a power commander! My bike runs much smoother and crisper now, throttle modulation is smooth and predictable. Fueling is much improved over stock. I have owned this tuner for about a month now and no regrets. Its exactly what my bike needed. *IMPORTANT* The Wiseco instructions for my bike are generic and not bike specific and neglect to tell you to disconnect the 02 sensor, which you SHOULD do. The Dobeck Performance web site (they make this tuner for Wiseco) is MUCH better for install and tuning info.
