Loud and Proud! Sound saves lives. The Cobra slip-ons install easy and everything lines up nicely. These pipes are higher quality than the originals and the bike is probably 5-8 lbs. lighter. Improved idle rumble with definite head turning awareness during acceleration as these pipes amplify the full goodness of the 1800cc big twin. The only ones unimpressed are probably my neighbors...but they can always move.

My only complaint for the V-star 1300 version is that I preferred the stock mounting bracket and bolts better. Otherwise this is a no-brainer add on for your V-star 1300. It makes your motorcycle sound like an actual motorcycle.

These slip-ons have improved the sound and performance ... above my expectations. I wish I would have made the switch earlier.

Wish they were a little louder; however, they are outstanding slip-on's, Especially when combined with the V&H Power 2 in to 2 crossover power headers!!!

I put this on a 2015 Yamaha Stryker. This is my first bike and my first exhaust so the install took me a little while...maybe 2.5 hours but it went pretty smooth once I deciphered the instructions (they stink and I couldn't find a download for the document either). The heat shields were the worst part if you have big man sized mitts when you are trying to get the clamps lined up and pulled through. Anyway, the performance more than made up for the installation time. coming from stock exhaust to this was a big upgrade in sound and performance. Like a previous reviewer said, the bike now sounds more like a mean ass american muscle car than anything else. I know people can feel and hear me coming now :) I also have a cobra powerpro black tuner that was already in place and working so I didnt experience any fuel mixture issues either. definitely recommended

I'm very pleased with the sound of these pipes. They sound so much deeper than stock and they thump hard off the line. Yes, they are loud and if you put them on a bike like mine that has 5 gears running high RPMs at interstate speed, you may want earplugs (or the quiet baffles). That said, no one tailgates me any more, and on multi-lane roads all vehicles on either side of me give PLENTY of space. I installed the pipes myself and found the instructions to be satisfactory; however if you're not an aircraft mechanic like myself, teaming online video instruction with the paper should make it a breeze. The pipes are of very high quality, and come with all hardware for install. You may have to re-use some of your stock hardware and if your bike does not run O2 sensors, you will need to use the plugs provided with the kit. The matte black heat shields look great on my bike even though a lot of the engine bay is chrome. The price is very nice for what you get with these pipes, and after 800 miles since installing them, I'm still impressed every time I roll on the throttle. Great product, Vance & Hines; great price and quick shipping Motorcycle Superstore. I'm a happy first time customer.
