On the fence.....

This gas cap looks good, and for the most part, I am happy with it. The only problem is that the ratchet part of the cap does not lock securely every time after it clicks. A couple of times the ratchet cap would unscrew itself (from engine vibration). It does work well when it locks, but every once in awhile, I have to play with it to get it to stay tight. In defense of the cap, it may not be applicable for my 2004 Sportster 1200C. It said it would fit my bike when I ordered it, but it doesn't appear to be a perfect match.

Looks Nice

Easy to install; I removed my tank's chrome center console that surrounds the gas filler, cleaned the area of all dust and debris, removed the seat and placed the divider on the tank. The end near the handlebars is double-sided sticky taped to the tank, and the end near the seat is wrapped around the tank at the seat-to-tank interface area. I re-mounted the console and the seat, ensuring that the divider stayed bilaterally spaced, and tightened everything up. Looks nice!
