Wrong size

Wonderful jacket but too large. We are anticipating exchanging the item we ordered for the same jacket in a smaller size. The jacket is an awesome combo of style, safety features, & good price. Best thing with Motorcycle Superstore has been customer support when this less than tech savvy mom had unique troubles with recipient son's address. Zack helped get everything on track, & he had a great sense of humor plus professionalism as he problem solved with me. I will recommend the company, & shop with them again myself for motorcycle gear. Thank you!

Super Nice and Fits Perfect!

I'm 6'4", 230 lbs. I needed the Tall size for arm length. Based on other reviews, I bought the XLT. Normally, I buy 2XL for the arm length. XLT fits PERFECT! Arm length is right on. There's enough room inside for a light weight warmer. Wish the inside liner zipped out. Very nice medium weight jacket.

first gear mesh tech hi-viz

Love this jacket. Really lets lots of air into the body, have had four other mesh jackets including an Olympia, TourTech, Joe Rocket and another model of First Gear and this this one is the best so far. I also like the fact that this jacket has almost no other colors other than the hi-viz so that it is more visible than any other that I have had as well. I did add more and better armor in the back and the pocket accepted it without modification. I have not had this jacket long enough to know how well it will hold up over the long run. I ordered the 2XLT and the length of the arms and waist are perfect. The arms are just a bit too large in diameter, but that can be just me. I will modify the cuffs so that I can get them into the gauntlets easier. The jacket was a bit more costly than others that I had considered, but much less than the Olympia.

Great jacket

I am on my third Kilimanjaro jacket having worn out the first two over many years. The jacket fits and performs great providing good abrasion protection and eliminating the need for a separate rain jacket. I just wore my Kilimanjaro on a hot, two week summer ride in Europe. I stayed dry when it rained and the venting kept me comfortable enough in the heat. The cold weather liner that come with the jacket is actually good enough to use in the winter. Along with my heated vest I can ride comfortably throughout the winter. Two things I miss from the earlier versions of this jacket: the older model jackets had a easy to use Velcro neck closure rather than a snap like this one. And I miss the wide reflective panel on the back that's now been replaced with a thin strip of reflective material. I'd also like to see additional vents added to the front of the jacket -- perhaps alongside the large chest pockets.
