Nice bag but...

The Mini Grandtour is a nice bag, is well made and looks great except for a couple of things. First, why does one of the side pouch zippers zip one way, and the other side zip the other way. When the bag is slipped over a sissybar one zipper opens bottom first and if you're not careful everything inside will fall out. Second, zipper pulls should be rubber coated. If Kuryakyn would address these two problems the bag would be perfect.

Don't waste your money

First off the dimensions were off. The ad said the main compartment was 14" wide and the overall width was 14" which made the whole bag smaller than I wanted. Also when you have the bag in the retracted position you have to fold down the inside stiffening flaps in the bag which looks terrible and takes up room. They advertise that it will hold a helmet, no way. At least this site took the bag back no questions asked. So I did buy a different bag.

Mini Grantour Bag

Haven't used it yet on the bike (it's still winter here) but I notice that it fastens to the 'base' by a zipper. I imagine that will be a hassle trying to fit the little ends together when I want to attach it. Seems velcro would have been better. Not a lot of room in it for books etc. I think it was designed more as a helmet bag. We'll see how it works out through next summer.
