Motion Pro Cable Luber
I liked the way this little tool works, and I have to say it works very well. I was helping a friend rejuvenate a bike that had been abused and had received very little care in 10 years. The clutch was so hard to pull, it took 2 hands! 15 minutes with this tool and a tiny amount of the Motion Pro Cable Lube and you can now pull it with one finger. VERY GOOD! A word of advice though: put directions in with it, so people who have never used one can save time figuring out how it works. I give this

The only way to go
Of all the ways you can try to get lubricants down through the cables you want to service, this is the only way to go. Used properly, it works with no mess or waste. Just go slow and don't try to jet the lube into the cable. Great invention.

MOTION PRO CABLE LUBER - EXCELLENT
This is one of those items that actually WORKS as advertised. I wish I had bought it sooner. If your cables start to stick, a quick shot of lube makes ALL the difference in the world. Instructions are basic - but c'mon - use your head and it is EASY.

This product works great before I bought it getting lube down a cable was a mess and not real efficient. This product works great directing all the lubricant down the cable. Motorcycle Superstore as usual did a super job getting my order out.

Useful Gadget
I am returning to motorcycling after a 20 year absence and I remember cable oiling as messy and time consuming: remove the cables, hang them on the clothesline, secure makeshift funnels at the top, set a pan under them, put oil in funnels, and leave them overnight. It's not that way anymore, and the change is welcome to this old geezer. It's not a perfect tool, but it's a very good one.

Simply effective
Even though you can try spraying lubricant down into your cable housing and "making a big mess",this tool is simple and effective, it makes using the lubricant's can tube much cleaner and easier to use and only using what you need.

Works well
I can’t think of a better way to get more lube in a cable. Its well made and solid, so be prepared to detach an end of the cable to use it. It won’t fit in tight places. I would buy it again.

Patience is the key
This thing works great, providing you pay attention to what you're doing. The instructions are minimal but it's simple to figure out that the cable slips through the slot in the rubber gasket and then you clamp it down tight. Make sure the stopper on the cable itself is inside the luber gasket because that's the key to getting enough seal. At this point is where you have to be patient. Because the seal is not 100% airtight for one-size-fits-all reasons, you can't just hook up your bottle of lube and blindly spray it in at full blast. Doing that will leave you with the results some other reviewers complained about, that the lube goes everywhere but the cable. Take it slow with low, consistent pressure and the spill-out will be relatively minor with the majority going where it belongs, and soon enough your cable is working like new. About five minutes of work and an almost completely seized choke cable was operating smoothly.

Motion Pro - Cable Luber
The inside has a stepped-in-diameter rubber bushing inside and as long as you get the tool to clamp over the correct size step for your cable it works like a champ. You need to loosen the cable and get some slack also. A good handy device that works very well.

Review - Motion Pro Cable Luber
In typical Motion Pro fashion, the workmanship of this product is excellent. The cable luber is easy to use and did a pretty good job. It did drool a little around the cable, even when tightened down. Not having another brand or model to compare to, I'd say it did as good as expected. Price falls right in the middle of the range I see for this type of product.

Great tool for the right application
I'm pleased with the tool overall but unfortunately my bikes cables are of a design incompatible with it. I was only able to use it lube the choke cable, though it did a great job of that and it took seconds. I end up using the tool at work to lube cables more than on my bike, but it's a great alternative to purchasing brand new cables when all you need is a little grease. Very easy to use.

A Worthwhile Buy
The cable luber fit well and only required that I loosen the throttle/choke cables from their attaching points at the bars, not actually remove them. Then you just attach the luber, tighten it down, insert straw, wrap it with a shop towel and spray until you see lube coming out the other end. It was quick, easy and effective way to do the job, but a little messy.

Leaks
It seemed to me that the cable luber was good in theory, but after spending quite a bit of time trying to use it.....it seems that there is something lacking. I tried tightening the unit at tight as I could, but it still kept leaking spray everywhere when you tried to use it. I think I finally got one cable lubed pretty well. I think it might work better on fatter cables.

Almost a great product
I've only used this on my clutch cable so far, but the experience was frustrating. Every time I sprayed the lube it seems like at least half would come out the (small diameter) cable-end. The housing end sealed ok, but required periodic adjustment to maintain. Took me about 30 minutes to lube just the clutch cable: spray, jiggle the cable until the lube that came out the top goes back in, check/re-tighten the housing end, repeat.

Nice try but ineffective
I've purchased two of these. One with the single tightening screw and one with the double screws. Great idea, but doesn't seal well enough to force the lube down the cable. Maybe it could go down a new cable, but mine are very clean and nothing came out the other end. Very well made, but doesn't deliver. Too bad, would have been a fantastic tool.

Not what it should be
Followed the simple instructions, not that you need them for this device. When you connect the can and spray, all the lube squirts out instead of going down the inside of the cable housing. Pretty much worthless.

Cable Luber
I installed all new cables to accommodate after market handlebars, so they were completely dry. I haven't used a cable luber before. It seemed to work pretty well on the clutch and break cables, but for some reason when I used it on the throttle push and pull cables, most of the lube came out the wrong side no matter how hard I tightened it. I'm going to have to take the bike to the dealer to lube these cables after all because the throttle occasionally sticks.
