Excellent Basic Trouser!

The Good: Nice build quality and finish. No dangling threads, no unfinished stitching. They are quality trousers. Also, they are really inexpensive compared to other trousers with similar feature sets. I looked at Joe Rocket and Tour Master (and the high-end stuff like Alpinestars and Vanson) and I don't think you can beat the price for what you get out of these. The Bad: Fit. Cortech's trouser models must have super skinny legs. I'm a bike rider, a runner and occasional weight lifter in addition to riding my motorcycle, so I have some beefy stems, but I figured that an XXL would be a slam dunk for fit around my size 38 waist. It is not. They do fit around my waist. They are comfy -- if a bit more roomy than I'd like -- around the middle but I have to work at it to get the trousers up over my legs. Once they're on, I'm good and I can ride for hours. The spandex on the inner thigh and back of the calf help. Without that I could not wear these trousers. I'm hoping that as I break them in they'll be a little easier to get on. Anything Else? I ordered black/black expecting to have a nearly invisible logo on the thigh. No dice. I now look like I have a Cortech sponsorship (spoiler alert: I don't). I may have a go at the white logos with a sharpie. No idea what happened there, but I suspect that Cortech promised one thing and delivered another to MCSuperstore. The velcro belt at the top and the crotch zipper are the only closures. I would have liked to have a hook closure, too. The pocket on the front of the trousers may as well not be there. You could probably keep a folded $20 in there for emergencies, but you'll need forceps to get it back out. The trouser comes with two zippers installed: a full-circumference and a shorty. The shorty matched perfectly with my Olympia textile touring jacket. Bonus! Conclusion: Excellent trousers for the price, but whatever you think your size is, buy one size bigger.
