Dainese Air Hero Gloves

Part of the Air family of gloves, the Air Hero is like a kind of big brother to the Air Mig complete with upgraded protection. Along with leather accents and a goatskin palm, the Air Hero also boasts rigid knuckle armor and TPR protectors on the fingers and wrist. All the same, the abundance of mesh ensures that the Air Hero is perfect for the high temps of summer. And keep in mind, if you’re a die-hard Valentino Rossi fan, there is an Air Hero VR46 version available.

Honest Review

Let me preface this by saying I tried on many gloves, and decided to keep the Air Hero's. Fitment: Order a size up; they're euro fit. They feel roomier than an Alpinestar glove (tried the Masai), however with finger length you'll need to upside. My 8.5"-9" hand fits in an XL very well. The leather on the gloves is nice, tough leather. The double layer on the pinky annoyed me at first as it was very stiff, but it has broken in after a couple hundred miles. Once broken in, this glove has a very special feel; very Italian. If I had to describe it in one word it would be plush. The microfleece on the inside is very soft (and that's its job; it doesn't hold heat). This summer glove flows tons of air with the mesh fingers. The flip side of that is that the mesh fingers will most likely fall apart, as when the velcro sticks to it it pulls a little up. I wish it had leather wrapped fingers like other gloves. Feature-wise, I wish they had palm sliders, but the split knuckle protection is very nice. You're paying for comfort with this glove and still getting most features (but not every single one).
