Product Information

Scorpion EXO-GT3000 Modular Helmet

The race inspired EXO-R2000 was Scorpion’s first premium level helmet and from that foundation spawned first the touring focused EXO-T1200 and now finally, we see the modular EXO-GT3000. Quite a step up from the EXO-900X, the GT3000 uses a TCT-Ultra® pre-preg shell to not only save weight but create a stronger more protective design. The cable operated drop down sun shield is a new feature and is certainly welcome with its precise feel. Equally precise is the action of the flip-up chin bar which is released by one large tab and then secured with metal to metal posts for a solid closure. A two stage chin vent and large brow vent are your main source of airflow and thanks to the large adjusters are easy to modulate one handed. Scorpion’s AirFit liner system provides a degree of customization with regards to fit and thanks to the KwikWick® padding, comfort isn’t in doubt. And while only available in solids at the moment, this shouldn’t dampen the appeal of this new impressive modular helmet.

Great helmet

Overall, this is a great helmet. Using the sizing guide, I chose a large. This squeezed my head like a zit, way too tight. I returned it and bought an XL. This was much better although it does squeeze in my cheeks a little bit. This is the fault of my fat cheeks, not the helmet though. Other than that, this is a superb helmet and I am very pleased with it.

Never again

I have owned this helmet for about two years. The face shield did not hold up well to scratches. Before the one year mark the trim around the bottom of the helmet came off. Tried several methods to get it to stay on but this week on my last trip I finally had to use duct tape to hold it on. Two days later the lack to lift the chin bar broke off in Colorado.

Scorpion EXO-3000

My first helmet was an Arai which I wore for almost 5 years and when it was time to repace it, I bought a Scorpion EXO-900 that I wore until the Scorpion -GT3000 came out. So far the GT3000 has been my favorite of all. The fit is perfect, the air flow is great and I consider it my Ideal helmet. It also works great with my SENA Blue Tooth. I consider it a great value for the price and I will no doubt replace it when the time comes with a new one

Great purchase

I was looking seriously at Shoei Neotech and Nolan N104 - I tried this on and very happy I did - I was willing to pay more but the fit and features of this helmet vs those others made at same price would have made this tough decision - at hundred(s) cheaper made this easy decision. This helmet is lighter and comfortable and the quality of the liner and the lift/locking mechanism is equal or better than shoei. I would say that the ratcheting chin strap connector is better on nolan. I will plan to put one of those on this helmet. I have not ridden with those other helmets to compare but the vents in this one and the anti-fog is perfect. Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase and if I had to do it over again I would buy this helmet again.

Cradled Grey Matter

First modular helmet was a Nolan. This helmet fits amazingly better. Just wish it had the same ratcheting closure device. Much lighter, phenomenal comfort and at a reasonable price!! Also wish it came in Hi-Viz colors! Added the Sena Com system!! Perfect speaker cut-outs!! Awesome purchase!
