Good Pants at a fair price

Nice pants, good for summer. Do I feel as safe with these on as I would with leather? No. But on hot days I choose these.

    Versatile Pants

Very good mesh pants for multi-seasons. Good features, protection, and price. The short lengths are great for us shorter riders. They fit true to size, but are a bit snug given that they are overpants. Highly recommend!

    A good deal

I'm joining with the other reviewers: these pants are excellent. Good true-to-size fit, well made, good and useful features. I wish only for lower back/tailbone armor - hence the 4 stars - but the hip and lower leg armor are fine, and sit easily where they're supposed to. The air flow is very good. The inseam is plenty long enough to keep the pants from baring your lower legs when seated.

    I like them!

Nice mesh overpants. I like the adjustable waist that can be snugged up, full length side zippers that allow you to put them on and off with boots on, adjustable knee armor, and hip protection. Sizing: I wear a size 34 waist 30" inseam jeans. I ordered a Large Short per the sizing chart. They fit fine over summer shorts or jeans. Waist is perfect and legs don't quite touch the floor and the knee armor is slightly low on the knee when standing but rides up too high when seated on a sport bike (even in the lower adjustment position). I am exchanging for a large regular. Hope this helps you get the right size if you go for these.

    Great pants

I've been very happy with this purchase. Comfortable, good airflow, decent protection and convenient to unzip and step right out of.

    good pants

Fits true to size, knee protection exactly where it needs to be when mounted. Good buy, cool in high temps and warm enough to wear in 50 degree late fall MS mornings.

    Fine pants

These are my first motorcycle pants so I don't have anything to compare to, but they seem fine. The knee pads stay in place better if you're wearing pants underneath. I've worn them in the summer in upstate NY with just shorts on underneath and they were comfortable. No complaints so far.

Great summer pants. Having the option for the shorter length inseam was clutch for us shorter guys. A little baggy, but overall they were a great buy

Joe Rocket Phoenix 2.0 Mesh Pants

Scary-fast delivery: the pants were here the day after I ordered them! I wear 36x34 pants & ordered the XL Longs; there's plenty of room in them for another pair of tight or light long pants, which will enable using them as overpants in spring & fall. The long side zippers/Velcro are a good feature, enabling getting out of/into the pants quickly without removing boots/shoes. The knee armor could sure stand to be a little wider, and better cushioned, and there's kind of a flappy excess of material on the outside of the knee area when seated on my bike, but overall they're real presentable and functional & I'm glad to have them. A good value, and they zip properly to my JR mesh jacket.

Joe Rocket - Phoenix 2.0 Pants

Great look over pants. Doesn't add too much bulk like some of my other armored pants. Plenty of air flow. Would prefer more pockets, like cargo pockets. But that isn't a complaint, just a preference.

    Impressed

This is my second set of Joe Rocket Phoenix and this version is better than ever. The rubber on the inside of the wastline keeps the pants where they need to be. The fit is excellent. The length is excellent. Features...all great. Only negative is the knee. The knee has armor but it doesn't cover the outside of your knee very well so that first impact on a low side could leave you with a bruised knee. They did that for flexibility/knee movement but I'd rather have a little more protection there. I had the first pair and they saved me 5 years ago lowsiding on gravel. No regrets with my purchase. These are a no brainer.

    Just what I needed

I like these pants because they add protection without adding a warming layer. I wear them with a pair of board shorts or just underpants underneath. Air flows well and I stay cool. During the short winter I wore jeans underneath and was comfortable without feeling bound up or overstuffed. Full length zippers on the outside of each leg help to quickly put on and take off. Good solid connection to Pheonix jacket.

    Good first pants

Was looking for a low cost option. This works great for my needs. Comfortable in summer, easy to add rain pants over for cooler or wet weather. Also one of few that allow for short inseam. Just wish they would all decide which side the zipper is to start from - one jacket matches and one does not.

    More Great Gear

Have teamed these with my Phoenix jacket for 50-60 degree weather, works pretty well with shorts but would need a windblock underlayer for colder temps; don't know about summer weather yet. Size chart indicated my 34W/32L form would need a large short, and it fits well and looks well built. Ordered a large regular initially, tho, and had an excellent no-hassle customer service experience - thanks again, Motorcycle Superstore!
