MotoCentric Ranger Boots

The Ranger boot, along with its shorter sibling the Raid boot, helps put an exclamation mark on MotoCentric’s touring line. Fully waterproof and designed with year round riding in mind, the smartly styled leather construction nicely integrates features like molded shin protectors, shift guards, and protective inserts for the ankles. The zippered side entry gets a gaiter to ensure water doesn’t get in and thanks to the grippy sole, traction in the wet isn’t a problem either.

Not so good

The boots were tight when new but did soften up and fit fairly well. The sole started coming off after about a week of use. They were water proof except for the leak in the back where the sole was coming off.

Good Boots

As others have mentioned, they ran a little small for me. I wear an 11W or 11½ narrow shoe. I got the size 12 and it fits over thin socks. If I had to wear thicker socks for additional warmth, I would have had to have gotten a size larger. They seem to be well made.

Great boot, weird sizing

Unlike many other reviews have stated, ordering a size up simply resulted in a boot that was slightly to large for me. I'm hoping that order my correct size remedies that (along with a little breaking in). The toe box, as noted by some others, is very high. This could cause an issue shifting. The ankle portion of this boot is very wide. Even with pants tucked in there was an extra inch of space on all sides. Unless you are wearing a full riding suit, you may want to consider the MotoCentric raid boot for a more fitting ankle. The shift guard is not made of leather, and I have some concerns as to how well it might stand up to regular riding. A shift sock is probably recommended simply so you don't destroy the boot itself. The build quality of this boot is fabulous, and taking them on and off is a breeze (past the tightest spot at the very top of the foot, where it is quite the squeeze). They are comfortable to walk in, and I are an undoubtedly good buy for the money. Good ankle support, a solid shin guard, and the velcro/ zipper combo make this a perfect boot for the Closeout price.

Weird fit

I had high hopes, read all the posted reviews, etc., ordered large but they were just too tight both in length and especially width.Had to return them so durability is NA.Great for the price if they fit!

Ranger boots

Had to return as the right boot was at least 1/2 size smaller maybe even a whole size. When I took it out of the box you could see the size difference. Ordered another pair and the same problem again. The left boot fit perfect. So cannot rate the boot as I did not use them

Ranger boots

these appear to be very nice boots. Problem is fit. I wear 10-10.5 in everything and heard these ran small so I ordered 11. Not even close. I simply returned them rather than playing the sizing game, especially since MS required me to pay the return ship. Refund was prompt for the return. Warning that unless you have narrow feet, these will probably not be for you, and even then order 1 full size larger than usual

13 should be 13 should be 13

As far as the product look and feel, I am very pleased so far. For the price, they look to be more than adequate for the service. My only frustration, as is all too common, is how a measured size can be different depending on manufacture. Don't we all use the same rulers? I cannot comment on durability as we just got them.

Good boots for the price

The boots are really nice, they fit small but after a couple of rides they are stretching so the fit is better. The patch in the left boot, where you hit the shifter, it should be tougher but it is not. It is not even Leather, after 300 miles it is deeply scratched, I think it is a synthetic material, the rest of the boot is leather.

Pretty good boots

Good value, I ordered a full size larger than what I normally wear, and I'm glad I did- the length was just right (normally wear size 10, ordered 11). I have narrow feet so they were perfect for me. My only gripe is that the flap that covers the zipper(located on the inside of the boot, and a little bulky at the inner ankle) causes the boot to be very stiff-you need to undo the flap to bend your ankle easily. They do look and feel like they would be good riding in a rainstorm or cold if you get them large enough to wear a thick pair of socks.

Run small, order 1 (or even 2) sizes up. Otherwise, decent riding boots...

- I wear a size 12 shoe. (& riding boots) I have 'regular' feet, not narrow but I don't need wide sized feet. For example, I wear size 12 Alpinestars boots, 12 Axo etc etc... - After reading the reviews, I ordered size 13. They fit snugly even at 1 size up. I have a feeling that even a size 13.5 or even 14 would have still worked! - They have a decent upper construction similar to what you would find in a reasonably priced riding boot. They fold and flap and Velcro at the point where the foot goes in. Watch video reviews on YouTube to get an idea of how they look like. - The sole is a bit thin but does the job. The sole doesn't have a lot of grooves for traction but a lot of riding boots have this type of design. - Works well for short or long rides. Easy to take off and put on and you don't feel fatigue as a rider after a long ride. (some boots cause fatigue after long rides) - They feel alright when shifting. - would recommend but buy a size larger. If you have thick calfs or wide feet, buy 2 sizes larger.

Concur - runs small

Great value for the price. Haven't tested the waterproof claim yet. And won't intentionally! I wear 11 US which translated into 44 European for this boot. I would really translate 11 US into 45 European. So fit is a little snug. Not sure I would walk a mile in them, but for riding they are fine, in fact I prefer a little smaller profile for reaching shifter and brake. I didn't bother to return since I got them for a song and hope they soften a little with wear. In retrospect, I would order a 1/2 size up on the next pair.

A little Snug

Great for the price! They do run a little narrow. I wear a 9.5 and bought the 9 because I didn't want the extra toe room. The length is good but a little narrow. Overall quality for the price is great. I got them on sale.

Small and Narrow

I have narrow feet so based on the reviews I was hoping that I would get a snug fit. The fit was very snug even for narrow feet. I may have decided that the width was acceptable but the size was also small. I wear a size 14 so that is what I ordered. They said 14 but they were at least a full size smaller than that. Back they go.
