Nice jacket

Bought on closeout and was a great value. Jacket runs a little small, I'm 5'7"/175 and large fits well, but sleeves are tight. Very comfortable down to 45 degrees, and lots of pockets. I recommend it highly.

Highly Recommend Jacket

This Jacket is everything that it is promoted to be. Yes, the arms are snug but that just means that I don't have to dress in layers anymore. I have worn it riding in 35+ degree weather with only starting to feel a chill after about an hour of riding. Plenty of pockets and the arm pocket is handy for my ID to get on a military base easily for the ID check. I am 5'10" and about 200 lbs. I ordered a large and it was quite snug out of the package but has become a great fit ever since. I have had a lot of compliments on the quality of the jacket and the visibility of the red.

Excellent product

This is an awesome product, I can't believe what I paid for it. The only minor negative thing about it is the sleeves are a little tight on the forearm.

Great riding Jacket

Great jacket for the price. The sleeves are just a bit tight. Other than that, great purchase.

Go larger then you think you need.

First let me say I think this is a great value for the money. I got the jacket and the pants for $100. Its well worth it. Pros: - Jacket is comfortable - Does not feel cheap - Lots of pockets to hole everything - Most of the pockets are water proof - Zip out liner makes this good for cool or warm riding - Vents on Jacket help you keep cool - Pants seem pretty rugged - Pants zip to jacket Cons: - Size chart is way off. I typically wear an XL but had to go with XXL and could have even gone to an XXXL. Sleeves on the jacket are just a bit tight even with going up a size. So you will have a hard time layering for cold riding. - Elbow armor and knee armor moves around alot and can get a bit uncomfortable without adjust it each time you put it on. - Pants have a rubber/plastic lining so you need to wear something under them as they stick to bear skin. - Vents on the pants don't really do anything as they do not go all the way thru the liner. Over all I was very happy with this purchase. I used this on a 2 week moto tour of Mexico and it served me well. I will eventually upgrade to something better but you can beat the value for the money!

Tight.

As in most reviews the forearms of this jacket are very tight and overall the arms are tight, I'm 6'0 205lb. I have the XL and it is pretty snug, I am keeping for probably the warmer days where I will only wear a t-shirt under this jacket. Fit and Finish is pretty decent for the price, unknown on waterproofing. Time will tell for the overall, but my Teknic is getting very faded and showing some wear.

Recon Jacket

As others have mentioned, this is indeed a Snug Fitting Jacket. The armor really adds weight to it. It's definitely a 2 season jacket. In cooler weathers it works excellent and the venting is Fairly good, for warmer riding, but really not past 75 deg. For the price it has exceeded expectations and so far been a good purchase.

Great Jacket for the price

So far, jacket is very comfortable and pretty good on the highway in 30 degree temps assuming you have a good base layer underneath. Haven't been able to test for waterproof. I appreciate the pockets though.

93/100 for the price

Jacket is warm down to 20 degrees, just make sure you have all the zippers closed. Forearms are very tight, take that into account. Not built for a barrel chested guy. Arm length is long but has velcro straps that help adjust length. CE rated armor except the back. Lots of pockets and the jacket is very much waterproof. Neck area isn't the greatest but for $99 including pants I'm not complaining. Going to buy another one and hope to get a few years out of both, seeing almost daily usage.

Good Jacket

Fit is the only concern, the arms especially, too tight, feels like my arms have a tourniquet, this is on a XXL jacket.

Great Jacket & Pants Combo

For reference, I am 5'-8" at 150 Lbs, got the medium jacket and it fits perfect. Per other reviewers, I chose Large pants instead of Medium so that I could wear them over jeans or other street pants. I had never enjoyed winter riding as much. Highly recommended!

Recon Jacket/ Pants (Sizes are way off!)

If you are 6'2" tall and weigh less than 160 lbs., you MIGHT fit into the 2XL size! I ordered this Jacket/Pants combo (came with free pants) and could not wait till UPS delivered them! So sad, I could barely - and I mean BARELY - zip the jacket closed and practically had to hold my breath to zip up the pants (also sized 2XL); while wearing nothing but a t-shirt and a pair of jogging shorts at the time. The quality of the Jacket & Pants is EXCELLENT - I tried to "wish" myself into fitting/keeping them both!!! Not meant to be (and they DO NOT have a 3XL size for me to exchange). Most disappointing for me;but if you are tall and very slim; you will LOVE these (especially for $69.00 for the set)! P.S. I am only 5'7" and ~ 200 lbs. (usually order size XL but wanted the extra layering space underneath). So sad.

Pull the trigger if you're on the fence

I got this in early December and held off on the review for a while. I agree the arms are oddly tight, but they seemed to break in. So far I've ridden about 200 miles in it today being the warmest. It's 38 degrees and the wind is gusting about 30mph (stupid). I couldn't be happier with this jacket and matching pants. I'd recommend long Johns under the pants because they feel weird against my super muscular legs...

im impressed

The jacket and pants work well together. The venting functions are great. You could pay a lot more money for other gear, but this kit works on the bike. The protection is good. I have the long pants and am happy.
