Sounds like/better than a Harley

The bike sounds how it looks! I will say to be warned that this is quite loud so just be prepared. I was really concerned with how loud it would be before I bought this kit as I was looking at as many exhaust kits I could find. There really is no way to tell how loud it really will be from reading reviews and watching videos. Some people have mentioned that they get headaches with ridding over an hour with these on, I have yet to experience this. Also I have a seyna headset and people only say they can hear it if I accelerate hard on the bike. That said it's not like it's earth shattering, blowing out your ear drums. I would say if you were to judge from it's looks, you wouldn't think it was as loud as it is. Also there's not much else you can really do besides wrap the baffles (read that it doesn't do much) or buy inserts to damper the sound (this appears to change how the exhaust sounds significantly). The exhaust looks amazing and I get compliments all the time. Also I get compliments that it sounds really nice so I think for the most part I'm just paranoid with assuming and worrying people will generally be angry with me. On that note though, only one person I know has told me it's loud. After about a month with it on though I've learn to ride it quite as to keep it in certain RPMs and push the bike away if I need to so that I wake any kids up in the neighborhood. The main reason I got this was to be heard while passing people on the highway (which yes worked), to have a little better acceleration (worked), to look better than stock exhaust (deff worked), and for drivers to just generally be aware of my presence in hopes so that they just don't decide to do last min behavior movements that can potentially harm me. I would highly recommend it as it looks so unique, people mistake my bike as a Harley, and it really does sound good. If sound level is a concern you can make some changes to your ridding style.

Cobra pipes

My dealer/mechanic stated I wouldn't need a fuel processor and others that did have one installed had it removed later on great sound sweet looks.

Fantastic pipes

Replaced stock pipes on a 2013 C50. What a big difference in sound and power also added K&N filter. If ordering for a Canadian bike you will need O2 sensor plugs.

Cobra Exhaust

Before replacing the stock exhaust on my 08 Susuki Boulevard C50, they looked like the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz, (just my opinion)! What a difference in both looks, sound, and performance they made! They arrived perfectly packaged! Installation was a breeze! Less than 2hrs start to finish! Thanks Motorcycle Superstore!!

Cobra Street Rod Exhaust Slash Downs

These pipes sound awesome! This is probably the best thing I ever did for my bike. The factory pipes were much to quiet. I did the upgrade for the sound and of course for safety reasons. You have to let people know you are on the road. Visibility and hearing go hand in hand for any motorist. Cobra thanks for a job well done.

Pipes sound great

Went on easy - just follow the directions. Great sound - 2009 Suzuki C50. Being a smaller bike (800 CC) the engine runs at higher RPM's at freeway speeds than a Harley (1600 CC) and really whines with the stock exhaust. These are much more muscular sounding at idle and slower speeds. At freeway (70+) have a great throaty sound that beats the stock exhaust by far. Baffles are removable and you can get aftermarket quiet inserts if you think they are too loud. I like 'em.

love the pipes!

These pipes are fantastic! I have a 2011 Honda Shadow Phantom and they look amazing on my bike! They are nice and loud too! At first the install went smoothly but, when it came time to put the black heat shields on it was a little frustrating to mount them. I thought the whole thing would have taken about 45 mins. but it ended up being about an hour and a half. Otherwise they look and sound awesome! They are definitely a must have for this bike!

Caution Advised

Pipes sound wonderful at idle, off idle, and at speed below approximately 65 mph. At speeds above 70, the sound is very harsh and very loud. At 75-80 mph, the sound is unbearable, because it is a very high pitched squeal, almost like a 2-stroke with open chambers. Baffles are not replaceable. But, the pipes do look good.
