Icon Hypersport Jacket

You could say the Icon Hypersport jacket is like the Hypersport Prime without the armor and while that may be true to a certain extent, the Hypersport is designed for a different purpose. Not every rider tempts fate dueling with cars and trucks on a regular basis and for the less suicidal rider, the lighter weight Hypersport is the preferred jacket of choice. Perforation covers the chest, back and arms and where there isn’t perforation, stretch panels and TechMesh™ fill the void. But don’t think of the Hypersport as lacking safety, the premium leather is thick and D3O® armor protects the elbows, shoulders and back. Aggressive but restrained at the same time; the Hypersport is a very good balance for the street.

Icon Hypersport

Used chart for sizing. Figured best choice from chest and arm measurements. Icon usually runs smaller so knowing that didn't think twice about size before ordering. Jacket fit snug and has more air flow than I thought it would. Not to impressed with the thumb loops on the sleeves. I do like the pocket sizes that were large enough to carry what I needed. Jacket seems to be very durable.

good bang for the buck...

High quality at a fair price. Just a note on sizing. I'm 6' 245lbs. 2XL was just too tight around the waist. 3XL works, but they jumbo sized the arms, so it's like weight lifter popeye wide in the arms. For you super athletic muscle builder guys, the 3XL is awesome.... For reference, I can squeeze into a Cortech 2XL, so I would say the Icon Hypersport sizing runs just a bit small. Only big complaint, in the arms, they do need to come up with some smaller patterns for the 3XL jacket arms. I suspect they just went overboard on the leather portion, especially elbow. On the 2XL jacket, I think the arms were just fine, so this is probably just on the 3XL pattern. Really like that they have the drop seat hang on the back. The 3XL fits like a 3XT. I have a long torso, so that part is great. But I may end up tailoring the arms if they end up flapping at speed....

ICON Hypersport Jacket

The jacket looks nice fits nice, but with one HUGE problem. The sleeves are short and the elastic at the end is very loose. This causes the air to get in through the sleeves and up to the back of the jacket creating a bubble behind you, and not to mention getting you very cold. The whole point of a jacket is to keep you from the elements such as wind and cold. Did anyone from ICON test ride this thing? It doesn't seem so. This jacket was useless. Dont buy it.
