I bought these after trying them on at a shop. I'm 150 pounds, 6 foot, and pretty thin. The S/M seems to fit quite well, I don't know why people are saying that the L/XL ones would be tight, these seem fine. There is a velcro strap that circles above the elbow, and if you strap it TIGHT, it obviously hurts... so don't do that! There is a third piece that articulates above your elbow, but the bolts are plastic. Wish they were metal. Otherwise, satisfied. Will see how it wears over time.

I cannot say enough about this piece of kit! It is incredibly visible, as the tallest part of your bike it just makes sense to make damn sure you can be seen and this vest really does the job! Even in summer heat with coastal humidity and awful traffic this is comfortable and visible day or night.

Good piece of equipment. I bought it for back safety to wear under my leather HD jacket; only has elbow and shoulder pads. It makes me feel a lot safer. Best feature is mesh. So you can use any season, layer in fall, use as vest in summer. Size: I'm 5' 10" 190 lbs muscular, 34 " waist and the XL is fine. The vest has adjustable tabs and elastic so I could have worn an XXL, but I like the armor snug. For me, a good product a good price.

I have owned the Icon vest in the past, this one is basically the same thing, just costs less. Ordered size small/med, fits the same as the icon, I'm 5'11" and 180 pounds, has plenty of room and I tighten it up all the way. The Icon might be a tad longer in the back but this is long enough for me.

I really like it. I read previous reviews and got on the phone with motorcycle superstore to make sure the jacket and protector were compatable. Slipped right in, fits great, feels fine, all good.
