I bought this bag for my Rocket III Tourer because the saddlebags sacrifice a lot of function for form. Also,it doesn't have a trunk. I just got back from a 500 mile round trip and used the bag for an overnight stay. I was able to fit all the clothes I needed in the bag with the collapsing zipper closed. The bag fit perfectly on the back rack and was one of the few that would fit over the very large passenger backrest. The straps were logical and quick to figure out and it was secure the whole time. The bag would easily have enough room to carry a long weekend's clothes for one person, or an overnight stay for two - unless your wife likes shoes, then take the truck.
I had the original t-bag standard pack with top roll in 1995. I loved it and preferred it to the heavy, complicated bags. Simple, light, strong, with handy side pockets. My latest one is the very similar, universal bag. My only preference for the original was the bag fit snugly on a Harley Heritage sissy bar. The new adjustable one fits a bit sloppy on my '15 Wide Glide. Still, it works perfect for me. Very durable.
Great bag for a tourpak luggage rack. The velcro straps fit perfectly and hold the bag down tightly. Decent enough room for extra helmets / riding gear etc. Heavy material and durable construction.
Minor complaint is the rain cover is worthless. Blew off the 2nd time I used it however I rode through some very heavy rain and my gear still stayed dry so I don't worry about it now.
Dakota Bag fit great on top of my Tour Pak, and comes with a rain cover.
Rode from Chicagoland to St George Utah, toured National Parks and back home. No problems with the bag except a couple of water bottles bounced out of the holders when hitting bumps in the road.
Redesign the holders to keep different size bottles in holders is recommended.
Overall I'm happy with this bag, perfect size.
