Worth it

The legs seem to run slightly narrow, while the waist band runs loose. They feel extremely durable and protective. I didn't notice the front pockets to be to small as some have suggested. Over all they seem to be great riding pants ready for the long haul.

S & S Pants

Good style, sufficient pockets, cotton material is thick but comfortable. Sizing is way off for waist and inseam, even after consulting the CSR. Definitely need a belt. The stretch gussets at the back are really not necessary.

Very comfy and dead-sexy baby.

What you've read in other reviews about fit is true. Slim guys will score here easily. Bigger half-size wasted guys like me (35) will probably have to try the 34 and the 36. MCSS makes it so easy...so why not? I did. The 34 was tight everywhere. The 36 fits my beefy legs just right and hugs my butt but the waistband is too big. I'll have the waistband tailored ($25) and STILL come out with a very competitively priced pair of really cool riding pants. Judging from the construction they will likely last forever. These paints are for cool weather which is why I bought them. The knee pads come out and go back in easily and this pant is ultra-comfy on the bike (or on the bar stool). The olive color looks really cool with unusual patterning and the black is really black.

Eh,, could have been so much better.

I almost sent them back and decided to keep them. Pros: nice construction, lots of button shut pockets, I thought the fronts were deep enough. Legs are nice and long. I'm thin build normally wear 32-34 jeans depending on brand ect, the 32/32 fit really good with the exception of the very large waste band. Good for conceal carry. Look relatively normal when not riding. Cons: The knee cups are useless, way to high up on the pant. You need a belt with these pants, The material is thick and gets hot, not much air moving here, the knees can bunch up on you.

Comfortable and durable

The pants fit well and are comfortable. I would like to see the following changes. I like the tapered pant legs however my boots (Race style) will not fit under them. It would be a great addition to ave a velcro closure at the leg to accommodate a larger boot under the pants. The pockets are a little small, however not a huge deal. The durability appeared to be strong. I like the rugged fit and finish of these pants. I would buy another pair if they were more affordable.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Ahhhhhh.... What can be said of Speed & Strength? How can names like "Smoke'n Aces" or "Rust and Redeption" not be a joke? Anyhow, something bizarre happened at S&S recently. Someone had a momentary lapse of usual bad judgement and managed to create an amazing moto pant! Someone at S&S figured it would be a good idea to rip off the Ugly Bros Motorpool pant design, give it better protection, and charge less than half the price. And thus, the "Dogs of War" were born. These are a high quality, functional, decently protecting, pair of pants. And they're very stylish. You read that right, "stylish" from S&S. I know. I'm 6'4 215 and the 34x34 fit perfectly.

Dogs of War Pants

Overall a good looking pair of pants. A bit expensive, but the kevlar makes them worth the money and they have so far been durable. Yes, the pockets are a bit small. They are usable though, as long as you don't need to carry a lot in them. They are definitely NOT cargo pants pockets. The pants' waist and length fit was good if a bit narrow in the calf area which makes them somewhat tight there...maybe the next size up would be better.

Just Plain Cool..

I really love these pants! I got the olive and like the distressed look. The front top pockets could be a bit deeper, but feel secure with the fact that the leg & back pockets snap closed. They are a nice weight - heavy enough to be comfortable on the cooler (50-60's) days, yet airy enough that they are fine in the 80's for me. Was going to ding them for price, but when you look at just about any other riding pants, not bad!

Worth the money

The pants felt great and fit a bit snug even after washing. Love that the knee pads are removable. Just wish they were less expensive.

Great pants--I like them..feel good about the added security of construction and added armor without going to full out racing armor..the only real criticism is the pockets are just to small..i had a tailor add 2 inchs to the depth of front pockets...now my stuff stays where it belongs..
