Bought this jacket to replace a 4 season Olympia from 2006. I ride all 4 seasons in North Carolina in temps from 28 or so up past 100.Obviously no warm rides so far but here's why I like this jacket. First, the armor pockets have been designed so that the armor stays put no matter how much I flex. The front chest penetration armor band has an overlay which looks goofy when the jacket is open but slides over the adjoining layer when closed and thus closes the "zipper seam" area. Second, the quality of the material is rich enough to do a good job retaining warmth.More importantly it's strong enough to save my skin in a slide, something I have never quite been sure of with my other jackets. On the otrher hand, and I'm not calling this a downside, just the alternate view, it is a very heavy jacket. I don't think there's any way around the weight given the build materials, the armor level, and the multiple material coverage. Storage is well thought out.I also like the thumbhole on the inner arm lining that keep the lining up to your wrist and keeps those wrist chills away.
I vacillated a long, long time over this jacket because of the price but once I took it for a ride I knew I'd made the right decision.
I purchased this jacket before I went to ride passes in Colorado on my dual sport. It did really well at shielding me from light rain for short periods, It's completely wind proof, and fits great. Zippers are stiff, there's no insulation, and very little storage. No regrets
Good fit. Thought it would be a heavier jacket but works well in cold weather with heavy long sleeve shirt under it. It is a good mid range jacket. Not as heavy as a big adventure touring jacket but much thicket than a wind breaker type jacket. Protection is good and the sleeves stay in place and don't blow up while riding at high speed which usually drives me crazy while riding. Glad I purchased it.
