Excellent V-Twin Oil

I have used Mobile One, Red Line, Lucas High Performance V-Twin Oil and Bell Ray 10w50. I always come back to Bell Ray. I ride all year long and at times temps get down to 12 degrees. The Bell Ray works great at start up and holds up all the way through my ride. In the summer I can get caught in Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia stop and go traffic and the Bell Ray holds up under those extreme conditions when its 95 degrees out and I'm sitting in traffic barely moving. I have the 2016 Road Glide Ultra and started with the Lucas Oil after some reviews. It worked great, for the winter I went back to the Bell Ray 10w50 and I was shocked at the difference in sound and performance of the engine. Wasn't even changing the oil for that. I was changing to my winter lubricants, but the change reminded me of why Bell Ray is so good. I was parked at a friends house helping with his new 2017 road glide installing squeeks big twin headers and by the time I headed out, it was 33 degrees outside, frost had developed on my road glide and the oil temp on my Dakota Digital shows 34 degrees... I had Bell Ray and the bike started up and oil pumped through just fine as the oil pressure was up to 33 and the oil temp slowly started to rise. By the time I rode off, the oil temp was up to 88 degrees... If that's not winter cold protection at start up, don't know what is. I'm sold on Bell Ray 10w50 even in the summer.

Bel Ray V-twin syn motor oil

I own a 2007 Ducati Monster 90deg-Twin and many blogs and maintenece web sites recommended this Bel Ray product. It is quite a bit more when compared to other similar products, however I feel that durability and quality of this Syn oil far exceeds that of the closest equivelent. I could instantly "feel" the difference and the easy to use spout made the job even easier. I would absolutely use this product again.

bel ray oil

Too expensive. Weight of oil should be 20-50. Also Mobil 1 synthetic can be purchased elsewhere for 8.43 per qt. for v twins. Along with the Fram oil filter for $7.75
