vance and hines short shots for sportster

i purchased these pipes for my 2012 sportster xl 1200 c custom. not only do they sound great but the change has improved my mpg from 41 to 45 mpg. they are not too loud but they aint quiet either! i recommend the pipes and motorcycle superstore. i saved at least 50.00 buying from them.

Pro Pipe HS Exhaust End Cap

end cap machined wrong

I, too, had to drill holes to get it to fit. I was concerned it was the wrong end cap. But made it work. The chrome scratched easily as I was working on trying to get a fit. The old end cap chrome was peeling so I bought this for replacement. Think I'll keep the old end cap, peel off the chrome, paint it with stove black and use it. The new end cap leaves a bigger gap between the pipe and the end cap, too. Not a very good replacement but the only one available.

GREAT Addition...exactly what I wanted!!!

I have a '08 Vulcan Nomad 1600 and after having the V&H Dual Exhaust and the Dynojet III Power Commander installed to my bike I ended up with a great sounding and much better performing ride. The sound is deep, powerful but not too loud... definitely will make me feel more comfortable in traffic. When you hit the throttle if has a very strong, powerful sound and the Power Commander seems to make the engine a little quicker and running smoother than factory set up. Well worth the investment!!!

Nice touch

These are super easy to install, just slipped right in and the screw holes lined right up. The hardest part was deciding which of the two positions to mount them. They really add a nice touch.

Big Shots/Python Quiet Baffle

Great sound and easy install

My son has the same Vance & Hines pipes on his Wide Glide but with the stock baffles. These baffles provide a lower pitched exhaust note from stock yet still provide plenty of flow. The fiberglass may seem too big to fit at first, but once you get them started they go in easily as long as you carefully work the glass in with your fingertips while slowly twisting and pressing the baffle into the pipe.
