I ride a Kawasaki Versys, adventure-tour style but really all on road. These boots are a lot of protection for the money. They are very stiff and the toe area is tall necessitating moving the shifter up, but that is an easy adjustment. I wear 12's in Rockport and Keene's and Danner's, 13's in Adidas and Nike. Went with the 12's. Toe is long but the toe box is somewhat narrow. I would have tried an 11.5 in a store, but kept the 12's. Figure on significant break in time to loosen them up a little, shifting feel is poor until broken in.
These boots are new to the market and there aren't a lot of real reviews on it but I took a chance a bought a size 10 pair. Great boots, the fit was spot on. I was worried a boot this height would be hard to put on without a side zipper, but the closure system is excellent and with a bit of practice it's no problem. Very comfortable on or off the bike. The workmanship is almost excellent, just what I expected from SIDI. Highly recommended.
I have used this boot about 4 years now. They have been excellent in comfort and protection. I ride dual sport and off road and can say that wading into creeks or mud holes, water never has penitrated the boot. They are also quite easy to walk in due their good fit and softness. The only problems other than general wear, has been the toe caps. I gave up on keeping them on the boot and as a result I have to reglue the toes pretty often because they will start to separate . The other thing is the ATV type sole will sometimes stick in the off road foot pegs which can delay braking sometimes. I will soon buy another pair of these boots. They meet my needs very well.
So far so good, these boots are as-advertised; a high quality boot that is comfotable out of the box. These will be used for adventure touring, 80/20 pavement/dirt road. On a trip these will serve as an evening boot as well due to the comfort and good looks.
Only had for a few weeks, but I'm glad I got them. Seemed stiff at first, but only after a handful of rides they are breaking in nicely. Waterproof and warm. May be a bit much for summer riding but we will see. So far so good!
