Sidi Canyon Gore-Tex Boots

Sidi, continuously researching new technological solutions to enhance rider safety, is proud to present the Canyon Gore-Tex boot. With Sidi’s great style, feel, support and quality there are no finer performance off road boots in the world.

Non-Bootie Designs: Sidi boots do not incorporate inner booties into their design, and for good reason. Booties make the design larger and cumbersome; add to the boot’s thickness, which interferes with shifting, plus the inner booties retain body heat affecting the rider’s performance and comfort.

Gore-Tex: Striving for peak performance? Whether it’s a day on a wet track, a long distance tour through all types of conditions, or simply pursuing your everyday adventures, Sidi GORE-TEX® lined boots will help you get there. Designed to provide comfort and protection, Sidi GORE-TEX® boots keep your feet dry, even when you encounter snow, or rain. Each Sidi GORE-TEX® boot is totally waterproof to keep moisture from penetrating inside, yet incredibly breathable to allow sweat to escape. This high breathability is critical to your comfort because, simply put, sweaty feet are uncomfortable feet. Inside waterproof boots that are not breathable, moisture builds up and has nowhere to go. It then remains trapped against your skin, leaving your feet clammy, uncomfortable, and more prone to develop blisters.

This can be even more of a problem in high aerobic activities because the more active you are, the more your feet sweat - we’re talking up to one full cup of water a day! Sidi’s GORE-TEX® lined boots is specifically designed to provide comfort and protection on a hard ride or for longer rides when the weather is warmer. The patented GORE-TEX® bootie is where it all starts. Nestled between the boot’s outer top grain leather and the inner liner, this bootie keeps water out while letting your perspiration vapor escape. As part of Sidi’s waterproof guarantee, EVERY bootie and boot produced is tested for waterproofness and breathability. And, to make sure the whole boot breathes the way it should, all leather and other textile materials used to construct Sidi GORE-TEX® boots are tested for breathability as well. So go on - take that extra step. Take it in total comfort because you’re wearing Sidi GORE-TEX® boots!

An Awesome boot

I have had these boots for last 5 years and love them. They have been equally comfortable riding through Alaska rain as well as the desert in Nevada. It is a great value for the money.

So far so good, these boots are as-advertised; a high quality boot that is comfotable out of the box. These will be used for adventure touring, 80/20 pavement/dirt road. On a trip these will serve as an evening boot as well due to the comfort and good looks.

Ive had these for 5 yrs and 40000 miles. Probably wear the sole out first but who cares , really dont hike in them . Fit great, dry . Been down once on pavement with them , only a bruised shin no broken bones. It is a good idea to have the buckles on hand as they do wear out I'm on my third set , though i was responsible for the damage on acouple .

Solid product

Excellent overall. Fit is true to size. Same adjustable ratchet system used for their biking products. I along with many of my friends wear Sidi mountain bike shoes. No complaints of durability of the ratchet strap after hundreds of rides over many years. Sole is grippy on all surfaces and stiff but not overly stiff. Not risen in the rain yet but we all know the positive history of GoreTex products. A bit pricey. But you get what you pay for. Good looking boot. Easy to get on and off. I would recommend them to my friends.

Hard to rate a pair of boots that you can't even get on your feet.

I thought these boots were poorly engineered. I could not get my feet into them. The gizmos that tighten them up are made of cheap plastic, and were so hard to open I thought I would break them. I had to send them back for a refund because they are no good if you can't wear them, and I knew those plastic fasteners would eventually break. At $350 they are way too expensive for what they really are. Can't say anything about durability, never wore them.

another quality Sidi boot

Got this because the sole is thicker which gives me a little more foot on the ground when riding my taller sport tourer. High quality construction. Ratchet strap across ankle makes a snug fit. I found the toe box a little tight though not uncomfortable. I own nothing but Sidi in motorcycle boots and cycling shoes. They're the best.

Never owned a better pair of boots.

I've been riding my Sidi Canyons for three years now in temperatures from just above freezing in NW Illinois to 100+ in south Texas; sun, rain and even a few times in snow. They keep my feet dry at all times. The lugged soles provide great traction when walking in loose dirt, sand, mud or snow and the boots are more comfortable to walk in than my best Redwing work boots! I wear them when NOT riding because they look and feel great for casual use.

Poor Leather and stitching

My boots have many deep scratches on the toes and elsewhere. These scratches are due, in my opinion, to very soft leather. Other boots I own have not shown the same wear. They are good boots in every other area, but I will never by this brand again because of poor leather.

Update

Another full year of riding with these boots and it may be getting better. I have slightly wide feet and high arches. Not an issue. Very adjustable. One of the best purchases I have ever made. Good quality moisture wicking sock make even the hottest days comfortable. I can't say enough about these boots.

10's of thousands of miles - Love Them

I've been wearing the same pair of Sidi Canyons since 2009 through all types of weather and road/off road conditions. They have been 100% waterproof and comfortable in temps from the 20's to above 100. I'm on my second pair of soles, yes the soles can be replaced, and I wore out the original insoles long ago. I dropped in a new set and I'm good to go for another few years. Yes they are expensive but you truely do get what you pay for.

Sidi Canyon Gore Tex Boots

I bought the boots in May and have used them with some regularity. I only ride on weekends (pleasure) and the boots have been very comfortable. They are still a bit stiff but that's probably because I haven't used them all that much. The only problem I've had is with the buckle-it's hard to open it up and the instructions weren't too clear on how to loosen them. Overall, I'm happy with them.

You get what you pay for

First, I rarely rate any product, it is all personal preference. I have been searching for years to find a properly fitting boot. I knew the first time I tried this boot on, the search was over. Actual arch support, comfortable foot bed. I have worn these on several very warm rides already of 4+ hours. One over 7 hours. I was shocked I paid this much for a pair of boots, but would do it again tomorrow. I won't have to again for many years.

Great Boots

These boots are great so far. They were a little stiff, as expected with new boots, but very comfortable right out of the box. Form, fit & function seem very good. I'm extremely happy with them, would purchase them again and would recommend them to fellow riders.

Excellent Boots

I've worn these boots for almost two years now and ridden over 25,000 miles in all conditions- blazing hot, freezing cold, heavy rain, on road, off road, short trips and all day stints. I also wear them daily for commuting and at work. Best boots I've ever had. Some have written about waterproofing issues. Those must have been defective pairs, because I've been in torrential downpours, off road in water/mud, you name it, and my feet have NEVER gotten wet. Buy these boots.
