Glorified Knee pads

Glorified Knee pads: this is pretty much what these things are. By the time I paid for transport and with the Australian dollar conversion, these things cost me $400.00, which is a lot. The fit of these things is average. I followed the instructions and my fit was a large ,however, the lower part of the brace doesn't sit right as it seems to dig in to my calf, I could live with this if only the brace did what it was designed to do...but it doesn't. Unfortunately, the hinge system doesn't' go back enough (to the rear of the knee) which means that it doesn't prevent any lateral flexion. Also, on hyper extension of the knee, the brace simply moves and doesn't sit flush with the leg ( moves away from the leg) I think this is due to the poor strapping of the upper brace( a double strapping system would most like help). So , if you're after a good expensive knee guard , this is great- but if you're after an actual functioning knee brace, I suggest you spend some money and but something else.
