HT Overpant

I have logged a lot of miles with this overpant, from all-day soaking rain to temperatures down to 23F. Excellent performance in all conditions and wearing very well. If they ever get to the point where I need to replace them, I will buy them again. They can be a bit too warm for mid-summer riding but for the other 3 seasons you can't beat them.

Nope

At six months, the ankle velcro failed to keep the ankle cuffs closed to my boots. The waist adjustment velcro went a month later. The crotch seams leaked from day one, something Seam Grip wasn't able to completely stop. The fly zipper stop (a YKK) flew off at barely a year old. Firstgear has terrific features on this pant, but they have utilized the cheapest material and it shows.

HT Overpant - Good Product

Love the pants. Nice zipper/velcro sides allow easy on/off with boots on. Comfortable weight and movement. Kept me warm and dry in the 45 degree December Las Vegas rain. But do not purchase your waist size; order it at least a size larger. I am 6 ft 180 lbs and usually wear a 34" waist jean. I purchased a 34" waist HT Overpant (regular length) figuring it was designed to allow for my jeans underneath. Not the case. I had to return it for a 36" waist (regular length).

Great Riding Pants!

The 32's fit me really well (5'11", 15 pounds). After slightly repositioning the knee armor (which is attached by velcro) the armor is perfectly positioned. These pants are really well made and have a feeling of quality.

Three season touring pants

Good fit and construction. Fit is as advertised over street clothes. Knee armor flops about unless seated ON the motorcycle and this is a concern since you really need it when you come OFF. Weather proof in a California thunderstorm lasting 3 hours, but could use a wider velcro patch at the heel closure. Connection zipper to FirstGear jacket needs to be longer for fall/winter riding. Liner snaps to hold it in position pop off when the pants are unzipped wide for donning.

don't stand behind their product.

they say heat resistance maternal on the inner calf. This is lie, it does not stand up to heat. My pants were one day old, I ride a stock Harley the pants melted to my pipes. I got these pants for a 13 day trip and every day the melted more. I call First Gear and they said to bad that wasn't covered by warranty I was out 229.00. I would at Olympia Ranger 3, or the Airglide 3 pants. I would not recommend First Gear as they do not stand behind their product!

Juty Is Out

Received the pants as a Christmas gift. Living up north has not given me an opportunity to wear them on the bike yet. But am satisfied with the quality and fit so far. Did end up returning the Med in exchange for a Lrg. I don't care for a real loose fit but the med wash just a bit too tight in the waist for my 195# 6'1" frame. The Lrg size is a good compromise. Looking for something for the colder days.

As expected

First Gear clothing is top notch. I have three sets of First gear motorcycle wear. They all fit and work wonderfully. The new HT overpants are as I expected, up to date features and a great fit. I tour alot and all of my First Gear products have worked flawlessly.

great pants

I am loving these pants. They keep me pretty warm on the cool NC mornings; most of the time if it is over 32 degrees I ride my bike to work. Havent used these in the rain yet but I have high hopes for the pants.

HT Overpants

I have used the HT Overpants on Dual Sport and touring rides and I really like them. They are pretty waterproof and can be thrown on over your street gear very easily. I can wear them year round, really nothing to complain about other than I'm getting too fat for my current pair!
