good tire for the price

so far this tire has exceeded mi expectations for a tire of this price. it corners well and grips the road under hard acceleration. I have an old Suzuki gs1100 set for power and this tire seems to hold up to it as well as my old Dunlops as for tread wear time will tell. I will definitely buy again.

very good tires for the money

I bought them for my 1996 goldwing. Did a cross country tour from pa to the wing ding in billings montana and pacific highway 101 and lots of other places and put 7020 miles on tires in two week and still good tread left.

Tire review

Have not had the tires on long enough to provide a review. So far only driven on dry pavement where the experience was good.

Great tire for a low price

I use this tire on a Yamaha V-Star 650 Classic, and it is running like a charm. I had the same tire before, and it lasted for 12,000 miles before it started to show serious wear and tear. I sometimes slips on wet streets ... but that can be a street problem as well.

Shinko 230 Tourmaster

This is the second Shinko 230 Tourmaster I have run on my bike. It handles well, wears well, and is reasonably priced.

So Far So Good

I have put on about 700 miles on the tire, so far it has great turning ability, good ware, If i get 7000 miles from it I would be pleased, but have not ridden that much yet. So far I am very pleased, Ill let you know by the end of summer if it is wearing well. For the price I can not complain, the last Metzeler tire I had cracked along the sidewalls very displeased had tons of tread left, so the price difference makes this tire for me more desirable.

Your Master 230 tire

This is the second Tour Master 230 that I have had. Only complaint is lower tread life. Other than that, I like everything else about the tire.

Shinko 230 rear tire

I'm a big fan of Shinko tires, have used on other motorcycles before. For the money shinko tires can't be beat! The ride and stability is as good as top price tires. Mileage between changes maybe not as good as top price tires, but price makes for that!

No Problems

I got 7000 miles out of the first one on my Vulcan 800, it wasn't quite down to the wear bars but was rather flattened out, decent traction in all conditions, well balanced, I think it's a bit stickier than the stock tire was. This will be my third and I'm glad I didn't try a more expensive one, I just got a deep gash in my last one from some road hazard and it'd really suck to have to replace a $100 plus tire. The only improvement I can think of would be a dual compound but that would increase the price and make early replacement much more painful. It's got an unusual tread pattern, I like it.

Great deal!

This is the second set of Shinko 230’s I purchased from Motorcycle Superstore for my ‘85 GoldWing, getting over 7,000 miles on the first set. The smooth ride and handling (even in wet weather) are all very good. The cornering ability of these tires is so confidence-inspiring, I frequently scrape my running boards while on highway ramps! Being pleased with the performance and the low price (and fast, free shipping!), I purchased a new set. I mounted and balanced the tires myself, and they required minimal weights. Even at high speeds there is no vibration. You definitely get your money’s worth out of these.

High Value

I'm on my 3rd set on a V-Star 950. I get 8K on the rear and about 12K on the front. I'm a distance rider and they work good in all weather situations. Harold seems to be under the impression that cost = wear Ha! I've spent twice as much for tires that wore the same as these.
