Michelin Macadam M50E Rear

Excellent in all but racing applications and may do well there, depending on criteria...For sport Touring applications they surpass claim made by other more expensive tires and deliver better longevity than all.... while still delivering safe stable and consistent handling in wet or dry applications......expect mileage of 10,000 miles or better with excellent casing life.....

Great service!

This tire was delivered promptly to my doorstep at a price that even after paying $25 to have it mounted and balanced was still less than I could buy the tire for locally. Also important to me was the tire was fresh, I believe less than 6 months from manufacture. Since I've only had these tires a few hundred miles, I base my rating on the Mac 50s I just took off.

Michelin Macadam M50 rear tire

This is my fourth M50 tire and have averaged 9000 to 9500 miles per tire. I ride a 1995 R100RT and am not an aggressive rider. I consider this a good tire at an affordable price.

Very pleased with the Mac 50's

Stumbled into a deal on the Mac 50 rear 17", and a Commander front 21". Got 11K from the stock Dunnies on my Wide Glide, and just replaced the Mich's at 14K. Found a screamin' deal on the rear at JakeWilson.com for $64. Bought two to get over the free shipping threshold; mounted one, and one in reserve. Very happy with these.

These are the best tires I have run on my BMW R80RT. They have excellent traction and several sets lasted 12k miles each. Lasertecs lasted only 6k. Bridgestones lasted 18k, but lacked traction.

Great road tire

I have this on my F650 GS BMW and am very pleased with it. I don't know what tread life will be but it should be 6000+ which for a guy my size (6'3" 300 lbs) is very acceptable at the 70-80 mph cruising speeds plus a fair amount of gravel roads thrown in.

Very good tire for my bike K75BMW. I won't buy anything else, good mileage and handling and price.

M 50 rear

using this tire on the front of a Goldwing (1500) trike. This is my third M 50. Trike is set up to use both front calipers with front brake lever. I use front brake 80 or 90 percent the time, consequently, only get 11 or 12K of mileage from it, most others will get as many as 20K. Being 80 series instead of the original 70, it corrects the speedometer (front wheel driven) to just about right on. hope this will be helpful.

Michelins on my Harley

The Macadam fit my Dyna Low Rider perfectly and I can't begin to tell you how 'hot' this tread pattern looks and how nice it rides. Have run it about 1000 miles now, no issues and no weights required on the rear. I like it so much; I came back and ordered the front one to match. It's being put on today.

I use this tire as a front tire on my trike (gl1800) and I will get 25000 miles or more with this tire. The stock front tire will wear out in less than one year on a trike.

Michelin Macadam M50 Sport touring rear tire

Put on a '79 BMW R100RS. An excellent tire for riding corners (old bike, sport touring-not a crotch rocket). Handles well. Predictable traction. A little wobble in rain grooves. Second or third one on the bike. Relatively good mileage.(5-8k). Tough to find bias ply tires let alone 100% aspect ratio (Softer ride, more ground clearance). Good enough traction to allow me to drag pegs. Great service from Motorcycle Superstore. Arrived within a week. Best price I saw. Will Buy Again.

Same as the front! I have used almost all brands in the last 250,000 miles on my three Honda ST1100. These are the best of all of them for all five categories. Please do not discontinue selling them.

several sets

I have run several sets of these (6 rears & 4 fronts?) and they work VERY well. Take a few miles to warm up and soften up a bit but last TWICE as long as Lasertecs and handle just as well. For about two years I has running thru a rear every 3-4 months and ended up with laser tecs but ONLY ONCE as they burned out in 5000 miles for a rear and 8000 in the front. I get 10000 from a Macadam rear and around 18000 from a front.
