Great tires

I've had the Z6's on my FJR for almost two months - have put 4,500 miles on them. (3,300 mile road trip). They are rock solid! They hold true in fast sweepers and in 10 MPH hairpins. Very stable on wet roads and in heavy rain - great braking traction. They are quiet on the road. No cupping on front tire. They seem to be wearing very well. I would expect 10,000 to 12,000 miles out of them.

Great tires!

I bought a set of these for my last bike, a 2009 Aprilia Mana. Though initially dubious about the 'Made in China' aspect, they looked like solid tires. I took the bike on a summer tour of Pacific Coast Highway and they performed well. I upgraded to a 2015 Aprilia Caponord this fall and after 1000 miles on it was worried I had made a mistake. But I needed to replace the front, and since the Z6s are so reasonable in price went ahead and did both. What a difference! Instantaneously the bike when from feeling I was riding some else's motorcycle to riding mine. For those concerned about the 'Made in China' label, remember Metzler is a global company owned by Pirelli since 1986. It's a global village, my friends, there is a reason these tires are so much less expensive than the 'Made in Germany' ones. So far no issues with performance. Let's hope they have installed German-style QC at the Chinese factory. More to follow as I put more miles on them.

18,000 plus and still going

I put a fresh set of Z6 tires on 20,000 miles. The rear lasted 13,000 miles. The front has 18,300 miles on it and is still showing plenty of tread to the wear bars. I commute 98 mIles a day 6 days a week on LA freeways on a Honda CB500F

Metzelers Made in CHINA???

I was very surprised to see the words "Made in China" stamped into the sidewall of the Metzeler tire. I'm almost afraid to use them - Can't really give them any kind of a rating because I haven't used them yet.

Great Tire and Great Value

These tires were on my first Honda Blackbird that I bought from a very good and experienced rider up in the PNW. Now that I just threw on a new set on my second Honda Blackbird these tires can't be beat as far as what you pay and what get. Great all around tire in dry and wet weather with very good tread life. If these Metzler Z6's aren't around anymore since they have been replaced. I will definitely be getting the tires Metzler has replaced this model with. The Roadtec Z8 Interacts.

Always had good luck with Metzlers

Although only time will tell how well the tread life will be, I feel it will wear well. I now ride a FJR 1300 and I replaced the front Michelin. I rode BMW for years and have always been happy with performance and durability of Metzler. When the rear tire needs replacing I will likely stick with Metzler. Michelin wants almost $200 for one tire? I've pushed Metzlers pretty well through the twisties and find that they grip well.

Too soon to rate the pair of Metzler tires, but the shipping was lightning fast. I paid, they arrived. Wow.

Metzler Z6

Got 16000 miles last season and still not dowm to the TWI's but these will be replaced soon with a new set of Z6's. The way they feel well into their life is astounding. Wasn't until late summer that I could notice any sort of fall off in handling or traction. Sure they were made in China, an unfortunate reality these days but they were fresh and affordable. I ride a R1100S sanely @ seven tenths single up with no baggage day tripping throughout the region. I highly recommend this tire.

Best tire ever

The best tire I have ever ridden on. Cant rate the tread life and wet traction truthfully as of yet but after the first 80 miles I love it. Better than my original Dunlaps. 1990 CBR 1000f Hurricane

Review on Rear from First Set

Like the tire a lot. Don't know how people get the miles they report. I'm 4,500 miles in on the last set I bought and the rear is looking 3/4 shot. Ordered a replacement today. May go back to Michelin next set, just to see how they hold up on the VFR800.

Always a great tire

I am on my third set of Z6's. They last about 12k kilometers on a 1999 ZRX 1100. They are fantastic tires for this heavy superbike. But beware that the most recent front tire was made in China. I am not happy about this as I expect the Germans to make their own tire.

My third one.

This is my third Metzler Z6 front. I got 16 thousand miles out of this last one. My bike is a 02, BMW R1150RS. I have never ridden to this tire's limits. Money well spent. Did 60 miles of sand and gravel in Wyoming once. That was squirrely. Yes, I was lost.

Love everything about this tire....

Especially the tire life. Just got 12,000 miles out of a set. Granted, they had some pretty serious cupping but had good tread left. I run these on a 04 K1200GT and run 38 front 40 rear. Mostly a slab rider unfortunately Florida does not offer much in the way of twisties.
