I have to say that these tires are the best out there! I'm a daily rider so cold, wet, dry, you name it. On the stock Dunlops i would get about 12,000 miles, but with Metzeler I get double the mileage. It's rare but i was able to get both my front and rear tires to 26,000 miles. (without any cupping) I usually ride highway from 80-90mph, i use balancing beads on both tires, and check my tire pressure on a weekly basis.

NO WONDERING ON GROOVED ROADS

I have used these tires on my 95 Harley since the factory ones wore out. These wear ok and ride fine. The one thing these tires do is keep your motorcycle steady on grooved roads and mental grate bridges. These are the only tires that keep the motorcycle from wondering all over the road on grooves. I have been riding Harley's since 1968 and the only thing that scares me is running on miles of grooved highway. The rain makes it worse. These tires hold the road you do not notice the grooves at all. I buy them for that reason alone.

Better than Stock Dunlop

New '07 900 LT for a first Bike now with 29000. A lot less than 10000 miles on the Dunlops around Ft. Bragg, NC. Shop recommended that I go with these. They rode so much better and have lasted @20,000+. They have been on since the spring '08 so they have sat for Months at a time. Especially between the move from NC to KY and again during the Winters here in KY. I don't have a garage to keep the Bike in so it's under a cover but still outside. The only reason I am looking now is they are starting to air crack. Front still has plenty of Tread and the rear still has the tits on the sides but the center is getting down close to the wear marks. Don't know if it's hardening of the compound over time or what but they are squirrelly when the roads up here are damp and the tired cold. Been caught in the Rain more than once and they have been fine. A little slick but I Ride like Grandma drives when the roads are wet so they're entirely predictable. Reading the reviews just muddy the waters. More positive than negatives but I believe I will go back with these as they have been great and everyone I Ride with, who have many more years experience riding than I do and we all have the same Bike, tell me these are the best for our type of Riding.

Metzler Marathon on VTX 1800

I have been thoroughly impressed with Metzlers on my Honda VTX 1800. This is a heavy bike with significant torque, and I'm a heavy guy. (Total weight of the bike and rider is well over 1,000 pounds.) With these tires, my bike feels nimble and light weight. I feel very confident leaning the bike in corners, even dragging my pegs when I feel the need. Wet traction has proved adequate as I don't get caught in the rain often, but on the few occasions, I never felt a loss of traction. This purchase is my second set of Metzlers and I don't intend on switching brands on the next purchase either.

260 on Rocker C

Great handling tire in wet and dry conditions. So far, I have 6,000 miles on it and plenty of tread left. Appears to be a fairly soft compound, but am very happy with the tire.

I have 3 Harleys and they all are equipped with these tires. I have tried many different tires through out my many years of riding and I have found these to be the best for me. Good in wet and dry and long lasting.

Good tire

Its a good tire, excellent grip wet or dry. I don't really test the cornering abilities of my Vegas, so I don't have any input on that. Was hoping for better tread life, I got about 5,500 miles on my last one. There are people claiming 10K mile on this tire, not sure how they do it. But I'll buy it again.

Great tire for my Connie......

I run the 1500 Goldwing size 160/80B-16 on the rear; 130/70HB-18 on the front. They wear like iron and I get about 15-20K miles from the pair, though the front will cup before the tread wears out. I have 54K miles on this Connie and had 52K on my last one. Only tires I use. They lift the bike a little and actually true out the optimistic Connie speedometer. So if you have short legs, these may not be for you. I'll be buying another rear tire before the summer's out.

I ride my 1991 Harley Davidson FLHT 30000+ miles a year and I go through 2 rear tires and one front tire. One thing about these Metzler tire is that they are great even at the end of there service life. In my opinion they are the best tire for my old Harley.

Best tire, period.

Tire has far greater grip, wear, feel, and lifespan than any other motorcycle tire I've used. Recommended to me by a real enthusiast and I'm thankful for it.

Metzeler ME880

Best tire for my BMW K1200lt. I am getting approximately 10,000 miles on the tire. I ride hard and fast. Tires perform wonderfully. Motorcycle Superstore always gives me the best price on the internet. Very fast shipping and for free. Can't beat their customer service. Thank you.

Very good mileage

I waited until I had run over 15,000 miles on these tires. I had Dunlop tires previously and they only made it 10,000 miles before needing replacement. I couldn't tell a difference as they were very good handling, cornering, wet and dry traction and they did what I wanted. I still have a few miles left to put on them but have already ordered Metzeler tires for my next set as well.
