    Number 3

This will be the third Lasertec tire I have bought, total miles on three is 42,000 in twenty years. Never a slip or deviation, always ready to go and no flats. Thank you German engineering at Metzeler and M.S.S for the Sweet Deal too!

    Metzeler Lasertec Bias tires

This is my 4th or 5th set of these tires, I love them. A friend mentioned them many years ago and I put them on a 1989 Yamaha FJ1200, later a vintage 1978 Suzuki GS1000, and most recently, on a 1985 Suzuki GS550L. Lasertecs stick like glue, as the bike stays firmly planted in turns, and no straight_line picking or wobble. Although they wear pretty quickly, about 2 seasons each, front and rear, they are worth every penny.Since your life depends on that little contact patch with the road, these tires inspire confident riding. So glad I am able to still get them for the older bike, ride on!

    Old tires

I received my shipment of both front and rear lasertec's to see they are both over 3 years old from the coded date on the side of the tire. Not happy about this. I've used this tire for years and always had good results other than having long tread life. Both front and rear are finished after about 4000 miles. Would like better in a sport-touring tire.

Metzeler tires are my traction of choice for my 2011 Moto Guzzi California. Great even tread wear and exceptional handling on wet or dry pavement.

Lazertecs - Perfect For High Performance Vintage Motorcycles

Faced with finding a set of premium, matched, bias-ply tires I decided to try Lazertecs on my '83 GS1100E. Metzeler has an outstanding selection of sizes. I road raced GS1100s in '82 & '83 - there were many options for the narrow-rimmed bikes of that period, but not these days. I chose a 110/90H19 front, and a 140/80V17 rear. I wanted a front with a significant footprint and a maximum diameter for ground clearance, and as much rubber on the rear as I could get on the narrow rim. I LOVE the 'stance' this combination affords. After several rides, I have come to appreciate just what these Metzelers have to offer - neutral steering characteristics - balanced well from turn-ins, to apex and grip for hard-charging exits. They are comfortable on the freeway as well. Wet Traction & Tread Life remain to be seen, but reasonable mileage, of 4-6K miles would be expected and appreciated. I wouldn't have written this testimonial if Motorcycle Superstore wasn't the BEST in Customer Service!

    Great Tires

I've been using these on my 70's model BMW's for quite a few years. Excellent handling and cornering. I get about 6-7k miles out of a rear tire and twice that for the front.

    Don't bother

Came stock on my brand new Triumph. Two years and 2,700 miles later the sidewalls are severely cracked and the tire needs replacement. Sure the tire is free but I have to get it to a dealer about an hour away and it only covers the tire, not the labor. Triumph needs to find a new tire company.

Metzeler lasertec sport touring front tire

I have run Lasertecs on my 1984 Moto Guzzi Lemans since 1987. I get 5-6K miles of tread wear on average. My riding style is sport-touring on back road twisties. I generally ride 50-90 mph. as the conditions permit. These tires have super performance. Wet or dry traction is excellent. Stability and cornering are as stable as if I was sitting in my living room. I have had some side-wall cracking issues, but Metzeler has replaced, at no cost the offending tire.

    They work for me

It's what I've always used on my 04 Thruxton as that's what came on the bike. I have nothing to compare them to but they give me great grip in the twisties. My only complaint is that I have to replace them about every 6000 miles
