Great performers!

I out them on my Kawasaki W650 about 4,400 miles ago. The back tire is almost down to hex wear strips, and the front is similar. So wear isn't wonderful, but you have to remember you sacrifice wear for performance. These tires have made my bike a stellar performer. (It's a retro version of a 1970 triumph bonneville). This bike doesn't have super suspension, but the original tires really held it back. I spooned the Dunlops on and it completely changed how the bike handles. I have little or no chicken strips on the back, and the dude stand has been heavily scraped. I didn't ride it like I stole it all the time, but it's great to know the tires will let it handle almost like a sport bike. Wet weather performance is excellent too. I've had the tires start to slide two up on a cold wet day, but only because I was pushing it a bit hard. I highly recommend these tires. I will be installing another set soon. Price wise they are economical too! I figure I'll get about 5,000 miles out of these in this bike.

The best

They are the best I have ever had on my V65. They've seen high speeds. This is the third set and I get 10,000 miles front and rear with max tire pressure. Great in the wet or dry.

Incredible Price/Performance

I've put almost 1000 miles on them commuting so far including heavy rainfall. As expected, traction is highly predictable and excellent for my Suzuki GS500F. I have about half an inch to scuff still, but do not expect to get there unless I take to the track--the street is not the place for such extremes. I would pay more for this tire.

Mostly highway miles... 17k

I had these tires for 2.5 years and most of the riding that I did was highway. I was able to squeeze 17k out of them before the rear squared out on me (yes, 17k, you did not read wrong). I got another set and am hoping for the same luck.

These are some nice tires they hold on great at 65 mph and just as great at higher speeds, smooth and easy ride and can blast up to speed without worry of traction loss, they make my FJ (Freeway Jet} feel like its stuck on a rail and you guys got a good price for all the fun they deliver.

great tires

I've just ordered my third GT 501 rear tire for my 1984 GPZ 750 turbo. I ride fairly aggressively on my bike through curves and have taken the tires to higher speeds on numerous occasions and I'm good on my 1st front tire through my third season. I've ridden in VERY hard rain with no problems at all. As I've stated about the rear tire; as long as Dunlop continues to produce these tires I will ride on them!!

Dunlop GT501 - Great Tire

I've been using Dunlop GT501 tires on my 2007 HD Sportster XL1200R since my original tires needed replacing. I now have 45,000 miles on the bike and these tires have been superb. I am on my 3rd or 4th set and will continue using them. Stability, cornering, tread life, and traction always exceed my expectations.

Poor tread life and questionable sipe depth

I tried a 100/90-19 GT501 on the front of a sported-up Dyna Glide that I ride briskly. Tread depth is comparatively shallow and I wondered what sort of life I would get. On the curves, the tire never felt well-planted to me and seemed to squirm when pushed hard. At 6000 miles, it is shot, almost bald as a billiard ball. Maybe the tire is designed for a lighter-weight bike and for cruiser use.

This is a bias ply tire with a radial tread - there’s a reason - designed for older sport bikes. My 1984 Nighthawk S loves them. Although they don't seem to wear well - they track so well and are priced so well, I'll put a new set on every year to save the paint on the side of my bike!

I put these on my 05 Dyna. This motor is pumped up to a Stage III. They perform well for a winter Tire. The Summer I get one rear to two fronts. Winter is better I would guess due to not riding as hard. Its all in the name of fun.

Looks great on my 92 Suzuki Katana 750. Sticks well on dry pavement, haven't ridden in the rain yet. The tire new so I don't know about the tread life? It also does a good job of NOT following the grooves in the roadway!!

Dunlop Arrowmax tires

These tires were purchased after using the D404's on my 83 V65 Magna. I find the grip, cornering and overall feel of these tires to be much more fitting for a more aggressive style of riding on a cruiser. The wear seems to be a bit more extended due to the mix in compounds from center to edge. These tires didn't take too long to wear in, and seem to warm up pretty quick on colder days. So far very happy with their performance over the D404's.
