Bridgestone Spitfire Sport Touring tires

Bought them for my BMW R90/6 - on a friend's suggestion who has them on his BMW airhead - because of good combination of mileage, appearance, and cost.

2nd S11 On My Zed

This is the 2nd front tire for my 36 year old Kawasaki KZ1300. The first one wore out the sides faster than the center (about 4000 miles). But it's a big bike, and I'm 265. I also probably rode with too low a tire pressure. The handling and traction were great. The price and the good performance was why I bought another. (Also have on my CBX and my Ducati).

Replacing the same tires

I bought these to replace the very same tires on my Yamaha Virago 750. Haven't ridden these tires in wet conditions yet, so no stars there. Otherwise they do everything else perfect fine. They were a bit stiffer to take off and put on the rims compared to sport bike tires, I assume that's because they're designed for cruisers.

bridgestone spitfire mc tire

This is the second set of Spitfires for my '82 650 Seca. Good value for the money. 12,500 miles and they look great on my vintage bike.

Safe ride in bad conditions.

I had the matching tire on the back last year and just put this tire on the front a couple weeks ago. Did a 188.7 mile trip, of which 88 of those miles were in an unexpected torrential rain/hail storm between the Canadian border and Rangeley, ME, on my '82 Honda Sabre 750. I never once slipped or skidded on the pavement and was driving fast enough to try to get out of the storm, but, slow and steady enough to be safe. I'm not sure the outcome would have been the same had I not put this tire on.

Great tire for the money

Ran one of these on my Suzy VL1500 with dyna beads- really nice feel, no issues at all. Got 13K out of it so I can't complain about that! Way better than those stock brickstones they put on everything. These are bias ply tires, they say you shouldn't run them with radials but I had no issues at all.

long life, smooth ride

This went well above my expectations. Got 13K on my Suzuki VL1500 and it was as good a ride as any.

O K Tires

I've been riding for 56 years. The S11's are a very good match for my 82 CB900f. I got 19.5K on the rear and 21.7K on the front. Both still had 1/8" left on the tread. However, they both showed a severe amount of checking. So much so that I felt the need to replace them. I check pressure every time I ride, which is daily. NO tire should show aging signs like these did after 18 months of wear.

Excellent Tire

I've worn these Spitfire S11's on my old '80 Yammie XS-650 for 25 years or more. They work for that bike like they were designed for it. But I'm bummed by the fact that they are not always offered in their traditional raised white lettering (at least the front tires.) This point I know is trivial, but how can Bridgestone produce Spitfire S11's WITHOUT RWLS? BLASPHEMY!

OVER 11,000 MILES

THIS IS MY 2ND SET OF SPITFIRES ON MY 1981 GOLDWING. I RIDE 2 UP FOR THE MOST PART, SO THE BACK TIRE DID WEAR OUT SOONER THAN THE FRONT, LOOKS LIKE MAYBE 2000 MILES LEFT ON THE FRONT, BUT CHANGING OUT BECAUSE I LIKE TO HAVE NEW TIRES EACH SEASON. I RIDE YEAR ROUND. I'VE TRIED METZLER AND DUNLOP, NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE MILES AND RIDE. IMHO. BEST PRICE AND SERVICE MSS..

bridgestone s 11

Mostly ride two up and still got over 11,000 miles out of the back, and front tire probably has another 2500-3000 to go. Bought the 1981 goldwing last year with the s 11's already on. (PO stated tires were new with only 500 miles on them. I personally put over 11,000 miles on the tires and they handled great in rain and dry. I am very pleased with the tires and motorcycle superstore. Service is always 3 days and free shipping!

very good value

This is the best tire I've used for an older bike that uses bias ply tires. Cheaper tires have weak sidewalls that can be more dangerous if you have a flat. This is stable and long wearing.
