Close to a great pack
Some of the features of this pack are perfect, the rain cover, helmet sling and great storage options are totally cool. The front/map strap and mp3 pocket are awkward and not well thought out. The pack is big in overall size and weight (hits my pillion seat), but space in the pack is small and limited. AStars quality, but not perfect.

AStars Tech Aero
This pack is amazing. I was debating between this and the Ogio. What sold me on the AStars was the rain cover, the sweet helmet carrier, and the huge amount of space and compartments this thing has. So, basically everything about it!
It is pricey, but I believe worth the money if you can afford it.

Beware of the waist buckle!!!
Excellent product, but the waist plastic buckle scratched my tank.

Not impressed!
For a $160 backpack this leaves a lot to be desired. It does have some cool features like the rain cover and helmet carrier. Although there is barely any room for normal things one may carry. I ride my bike to school everyday and I can barely fit two books in there with a binder. I think I would have rather saved $100 and bought a Burton or an OGIO.

Good backpack
The Tech Aero backpack by Alpinestars is a good backpack. Plenty of storage, and is comfortable. The only thing that I don't like is the map pocket across the chest ... kinda just gets in the way, so I took it off. Other than that, it seems like it should be pretty durable.

Alpinestars - Tech Aero Backpack
Great product took my Ogio less drag back after getting this one. I love the Helmet holder and the protection for the face visor, love the one snap shoulder strap to remove.
cons; Don’t like the chest strap with the map piece, some may like but they should give you a second strap in case you don’t want the huge logo in the center of your chest. I just removed it and the backpack is now perfect.

You get what you pay for
The high price of this back pack is worth every cent. I use this backpack under regular basis. Riding to school i am able to fit A LOT into. A textbook, a binder, books, and a few note books. Many convenient features like the helmet holder, quick release strap, rain cover, and many pockets. The best riding or everyday backpack you'll EVER buy.

worth the money
This is a really durable pack. Has lots of compartments and features adequate storage capacity for commuting and short trips. The rain fly will blow off and flap around like a flag at highway speeds and the sternum strap/map holder thing is NOT waterproof, so if it rains, expect an unreadable map.
But, even if you don't use the rain cover, this bag appears to be highly water resistant. It's been completely drenched many times and the contents are always completely dry. The helmet holder can double as added storage capacity if you get creative with a couple of bungee cords. This is a really good pack.
