My second AVON Venom X

Liked my first one so much that I bought this second one as a backup. It’s in my bedroom until I need to replace the first one with it!

So far, so good. I have really noticed that the cornering is exceptional and you get very little if any road noise from the tire. The OE Bridgestone was a whiner. Can't tell you much on the tread life or wet traction...yet.

Avon Venoms replacing Metzler 880's

I've run Metzlers on every bike I've owned until now. Replacing them with the Avon's has been amazing. Great traction and confident handling. I don't know how long they will last with the softer compound but I'm happy to replace them again to keep the performance characteristics. I took the wheels off of my BMW and my local H-D dealer mounted them up.

Venom X AM42 vs Dunlop 404 on Royal Star Venture

I replaced the Dunlops with a pair of Venom X AM41 front and AM42 rear even though the tread on the Dunlops was excellent. The difference in handling is amazing. It takes 200 pounds off the bike. Much quicker response, cornering etc. I've had the Venture 5 years and replaced Dunlops with Dunlops as that's what came with the bike. I now wish I had put on the Avons the first day I bought the bike !! I haven't been in the rain yet so can't comment on that or tread life as they've only been on a month but other reviews give them excellent in that also.

Avon Venom Tires

This is my third set of venom tires on my 1999 venture with 90k. The tires are very responsive and have excellent grip providing a great ride and no road noise. The tires will not upset the bike when going over road grooves and handles two up riding in the mountains providing great lean angles. Front tires are getting 20k before replacement. Rear tires average 15k. Great tire!

Avon Venom Tires On 2006 Royal Star Tour Deluxe

I first replaced the rear oem junk Bridgestone at 6K miles on my 06 Yamaha RSTD with the Avon Venom. It is time to replace the rear tire again after 11,000 miles of hard riding. The Avon's handle great in any weather and are very quiet even in the corners, unlike the Dunlops I had in the past which were noisy in the corners. I later replaced my front tire with the Avon Venom which doesn't grab the cracks in the road like the Bridgestone tire. I just ordered another Avon Venom rear tire. I haven't tried Michelin, Continental or Metzler tires, but I haven't read any reviews where someone said they thought those brands were better than the Avon's either.

Love these tires!

These tires ride so much better than my OEM ones. I am so glad I had people recommend them to me! My bike handles like it is on rails now! And doing business with Motorcycle Superstore couldn't be easier! I buy all my motorcycle items from this site. Amazing quality!

AM42

My second set of Avon's. Best tire I've found for the money. Smooth riding and long tread life. I got 13,000 miles out of last rear tire and I think that is great.

Venom Rear Tires

The OEM rear Bridgestone on my 07 Venture lasted 5000 miles and the cords were showing. My V-rated Venom lasted 10000 miles and was just at the wear bars. I order a front & rear tire from elsewhere and did not notice it was the H rated one until 6 months later, the receipt was for the V rated tire. H has 9/32 tread, V has 11/32 tread and can hold higher air pressure, 5 dollars difference. The front Venom is great also. Woke up the handling.

Sold on Avon

I bought this tire to replace a worn out Dunlop rear and I must say that it is a huge improvement. This tire is sticky, quiet, and I am much more confident charging into corners with this tire. The wet traction is great and the road noise dropped significantly once I switched to the Avon. I will never buy another tire brand. Not 100% sure on tread life yet but the Avon AM26 front tire that I have on my bike is holding up very well, so I expect the rear to do the same.

Awesome Tire

These tires don't want to let go when cornering. The OEM Dunlops felt like they could barely hang on when going around a Traffic circle. These Venoms grip the road with a tenacity that is hard to believe. The OEM tires went bald after 11,000 miles. These venoms have 11,000 miles on them and show very little sign of wear, I'll probably get another season out of them.

Avon Venom rear tire

Put this on my Vulcan 1600. Had to change stock size but it wasn't a big deal, went from 170/70/16 to the 160/80/16. Handles really well in all weather and takes the corners like a champ. I had these on another bike and liked them really well so decided to try them on this bike. I am very satisfied. Good price and fast shipping makes for a great deal. Had them on for 3 weeks and have about 2000 miles. Couldn't be happier.

Avon tires AM42 and AM41

Installed both front and rear so I had a matched set. I've had these on other bikes so I knew I liked them. Purchased about 3 weeks ago and have almost 2000 miles on them. I ride a Vulcan 1600 so I had to change the stock rear tire size, went from 170/70/16 to 160/80/16. Handle well in all weather and corner like the champs that they are. Good price and fast shipping make Motorcycle Superstore a champ too. Won't buy from anyone else. You won't be sorry on this purchase.
