Pretty good substitute

I bought these to replace the Joe Rocket Orbit boots I'd worn for 10 years/55,000 miles and loved them. With the Orbit boot being discontinued, these were the closest thing I could find. I've worn them on 8-10 rides so far. The sole is a lot more aggressive (not better or worse of a feature). The buckle strap is a bit of a (as others have said) - some care must be taken to line up and latch the buckle, a pain to mess with - hopefully I can get used to it. I can see how they might break. Mornings can get down to 40F and these keep my feet warm, as did the Orbits. Hopefully they last as long!

Almost Perfect, continued

Plastic strap broke after 10 trips out, really cold feet if it's under 50 (I know these don't pretend to be winter boots, but an attempt would be appreciated), both pull up straps broke after 4 trips out, still really hard to get on and off with the lace system. Unknown protection factor, but with everything else I wouldn't trust them.

Almost perfect.

Good boot, sizing is a little off (UK 6 is EURO 39, US 7 is more like 7 1/2). Lace hooks at the top instead of lace-holes would make it easier to get on and off; even being 1/2 size too big they're harder than necessary to get on. Not sure about durability of the plastic strap clasp.

Good Boot

These boots are overall pretty good, broke in quick, have good foot protection, and look good. I mark one star down on durability because the second time I put them on and pulled on the ankle strap with a little force the strap broke right off.

Almost Perfect Boot

Comfortable and true to size using sizing chart. Boot laces are cheap, replaced after three weeks. Plastic fastener on strap is concerning, however, hasn't broken...yet.

great boot

Awesome boot fits great. The hard part I have is slipping the foot past the ankle of the boot. A little unsinching of the strings is not bad though.

Good but not perfect...

Boots were a little big. Buckle broke since its plastic and not the advertised aluminum. However I think they took a hit to break. Not sure. Car pulled in front of me, locked em up, fellow rider breezed by my side, looked down and the strap was flapping. On the other side, they were comfortable and are the only boot with the look and features that I want. So yes, I would buy again, just maybe a size down.

A decent boot

Good boot for the money. Reasonably good performance in most ways. After 1-1/2 seasons, one of my plastic side buckles broke away from the boot. A cobbler said he could not fix it. I was lucky to bond it back together with some construction adhesive. It is still going, but you want to watch that. I would buy them again because of the price point, and performance. Cheers.

cool looking

This boot is ok for looks, but it is not a snug fit. It is a little loose around the toes. It does have buckles to hold the laces in place though.

Toe is very thick

I can't seem to find a boot with a flatter toe area. This one is big and clunky and the leather is weird- feels like nylon laces are cheap. Runs 1/2 size big and I don't like the rubber on top since it sticks when I shift.

good boots for the $$

This boot is not leather. It feels like rubber but tough. It should be a good boot for those rainy days. The only reason I bought this boot is because they cover my ankles and they were $89.

Review Joe rocket 2.0

Was not impressed. Was a cheap looking shoe, fit was bad, finish was worse. MC Superstore cheerfully refunded my money.

Good but Bad

Shoes look amazing and feel good. However, the shoes get stuck on the foot peg and I almost ate it while trying to put my foot down at a stop. The design for the sole is bad in my opinion. Also, one of the straps would come unbuckled if the straps were set tight. The shoe size do run a bit bigger. Good shoe but I dont like the sole design and the strap mechanic quality differs from shoe to shoe. But, I guess you get what you pay for.

okay

I really like the boots but the clip is not durable enough for extended use. I'd still recommend these boots for the occasional rider.
