I like them

Got it to match the jacket to which it mates nicely with the zipper connection. I'm on the border for small-medium. Got a small and even then, it's roomy in the waist and long. So if you are a borderline size, try the smaller. front thigh pockets easy to use & good for stashing. armor pouches can accept beefier hip & knee pads. handsome looking pants.

High Quality

These are heavy duty and great quality. I initially ordered the medium based on reading reviews stating that these ran small, but returned them to exchange for a small. I'm a 5'6" 125 female. These fit great.

A-star pants

Great for all weather except warm. Sizing chart is way off. I wear 33w 34l and I bought 2X size, I have room to move with pants on under. Dont plan on a trip till you get right size

Nice pants...

I'm 5'10" and about 160lbs. I ordered the medium first; it fit, but the knee pads were on my shins. I exchanged it with a small and it fits perfectly. I still think the knee pads are a bit lower than they should be, but they do pull up nicely once seated on the bike. Fit and finish is great and they work very well in cold temps. So far, they seem very sturdy.

Ignore the sizing chart

After the third try I finally got the size right. Your best bet on these is to ignore the sizing chart and look at the reviews for a guideline on where to start. I wear a size 38 men's jeans and to get a 38 waist to fit in these pants I took a 4X. These are the best adventure sport pant I've found and easily compare to BMW's line of riding gear at a better price point. Size guideline: Size 34 - 36 jeans will take a 3X in this pant and a 38 is a 4X.

review

The pants are about 2 sizes too small and much longer than expected. The knee pads were on my shin. There was not much to choose from on length.

Runs Smaller than usual

Returned the Bregenz for these and wow they are awesome. Only got to try them out in the 50's but would have been fine without the liner. They run smaller than other Astars gear though, I have the summer weight mesh pants in 2XL and these in 3XL feel the same or smaller.
