Olympia Odyssey Vent Tech One-Piece Suit

While the Avenger is ideal for warmer temps, the Olympia Odyssey one-piece suit focuses on them all, from winter to summer. A number of designs cross over between the two however, including customizable hems, the very effective two zipper entry system and CE approved armor over the elbows, shoulders and back. The main difference is the AVS venting system and integrated waterproof membrane. Using waterproof zippers, the vents open directly to your skin but are water tight when closed. Storage pockets are waterproof as well making the Odyssey truly ready for rides in the rain.
  • Outer shell constructed in coated 500 and 2000 denier Cordura fabric
  • Waterproof/breathable membrane adds double waterproof protection
  • Airflow Ventilation System at chest arms and back
  • Double storm placket front closure
  • Removable CE Motion Flex armor at elbows and shoulders
  • Removable CE approved Motion Flex articulated back protector
  • Custom Fit detailing at collar, cuffs, elbows, waist and bottom hem
  • Full circumference neoprene collar insert
  • 3M Scotchlite® reflective piping at front, sides and back
  • Six storage pockets
  • Item # 56415
  • SKU #
  • Mfr. Part #

Very Nice But....

First, let me say I love this suit. It's heavy at about 10 lbs, but worth it. I'm 5'8 and 195, 30 inseam. The sizing chart I saw recommended XL, so I ordered it. Had the legs hemmed locally for $35, and suit now fits. BUT, it's really big in the collar and pushed up my body, with the collar hitting my helmet collar. The back armor makes me look like a hunchback. Climbing on my cruiser took some effort because the legs were tight around my jeans. Still, once under way, it was great to wear and did the job. Lots of pockets, venting is almost too good for cold rides! Anyway, it's a nice suit. If I had a do over, I'd go a size smaller.

Good suit

I shortened the legs easily and as long as I get the seams right, the water stays out until you get into "Monsoon" levels, and the winds blowing in from the right & it is raining sideways. I find the venting works well into the 80's & 90's. I like the ease of putting it on. My only nits to pick would be: I'd like some larger bits of Hook and Loop in the knee pad area, a waterproof zipper for the front in addition to the flap having a bit wider hook and loop there too, would be perfect. Minor.

This suit-

OK, so I have a pretty big gut, so I got the 4XL. No way is that thing going to zip up till I shed at least 50 lbs. Think the pockets are way too undersized. The so called "gun pocket" on the left breast? You might get your iPhone in there, maybe a pocket knife, but sorry charlie, a gun, I don't think so. The pocket on the back, which should be huge can hold a few maps/magazines- not much. Other than that, I am looking forward to fitting in it and giving it a go.

Great, versatile suit

Takes complete care of any wind chill, is comfortable and has good protection built in. Super visible too, so as safe a suit as I was looking for. Very adaptable with the vents on the arm accessible while you are riding. I can imagine that this suit might even be comfy during summer with all the vents open (and no sweater underneath, of course). My only issue is that the legs do ride up quite a bit and my ankles get cold. I would buy this suit again, no question.

Excellent riding gear

This suit is more than I expected. It is comfortable, amazingly cool with the vents open and easy to put on and off. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for that added protection.

Olympia Odyssey Vent Teck One Pice Suit

The suit is very good indeed, I can now have the protection I require, but still arrive at work dressed accordingly. I would recommend the above kit to anyone looking for a garment that is ideal for commuting to work without having to take two sets of clothing.

Really Nice Suit

It would be a lot better, in my opinion, if there was a way to keep the velcro "open" while out of/donning the suit. The velcro always attaches to itself when donning the suit, making it a royal pain. Other than the ingress, the suit is great, good ventilation, plenty of pockets. Very good ventilation for a waterproof suit the the zippers open. On nippy mornings (wearing a sweat shirt underneath), just with the zippers closed, the suit is quite comfortable.

review of Odyssey Vent Tech

This is probably the best value on the market today. Great fit, features, water proofing, safety. Perfect for commuting (as I use it) and long distance rides. Highly recommended.
