Great helmet

This is the best helmet I have ever owned. The peripheral vision is awesome for a full face helmet (you don't have to turn around so far to check the lane next to you for traffic) and the removable chin bar is great for those long trips when you want to have a cup of coffee and still ride. Very light and looks more like a fighter pilots helmet than a motorcycle helmet. Gonna go buy the wife one soon. As with any helmet, it is always better to try one on before you buy.

Good lid for the money

The fit for a large seems a little "looser" than what I like, but overall this helmet is a good helmet for the money. The build quality is nice and it is much lighter than a regular full face helmet than I currently have. I would definitely consider a Speed and Strength helmet in the future when I look again.

Awesome helmet

Looks great, and fit was even better at least for me. Read the complaints on wind noise but I find it to be fine. Absolutely love the removable chin effectively making it a 3/4 helmet.

speed & strength neon 1700 helmet

This helmet fits well especially around the ears & under chin. The front "flip-up" modular panel release lever makes it easy & fast plus the quick release chin snap puts this one notch above my Scorpion helmet. Fitting around the ears and at bottom of the chin is very good. Sizing is good. Could use a little more air circulation. Visability is excellent. Face shields first stop open is a little too much (about an inch).

Decent helmet for the price

The Good: -Nice features -Light weight -Good air flow The Bad: -Too much wind noise (have to use ear plugs) -The material used could have been a bit better. For example, my forehead hurts a bit when the helmet is pushing against it which is all the time when riding.

Good idea-just not well finished

Got this for visibility and DVD. Issue with wind noise because face shield or chin guard isn't flush. Helmet opens when turning head at highway speed. Safety issue!

Decent helmet

I really liked many of the features it has but a few things disappointed. First the size was small on my head even though the size guide indicated it should be plenty big enough. Second the quality of the padding inside the helmet seemed VERY flimsy particularly considering the cost of the helmet. Will have to wait and see if it turns out to be worth the price.

Looks great, but overall a huge disappointment

I am bummed that this helmet is not working for me. I really like the look and the ability to change from a full face to a 3/4 helmet. I haven't returned it yet, but likely will. Positives: Looks great. Can wear the helmet as a full face or 3/4. Excellent face protection due to full face shield. Retractable sun visor. Awesome quick release chin strap. Negatives: This is the loudest helmet I have ever worn. I had to wear ear plugs in order to have a pleasant ride. Fits larger than other helmets so it was pulling off of my head at high speeds. If you order, I suggest ordering down a size. Not aerodynamic at all. My neck was strained during a longer freeway ride. Retractable sun visor switch was stiff and difficult to use. No good place for communication speakers. The cavities in the helmet were way too high for my ears. Can't put on or take off the helmet unless I remove the chin piece, which is very inconvenient.
