I bought one of these last summer to commute back & forth to work on my motorcycle in the 100+ temps of the Upper Sacramento Valley between Feather Falls and Chico. I work nights, so I would soak it in the shower just before I would leave on my 40 mile ride to work at 1pm, then I would suit up while still in the A/C in a t-shirt, this deluxe sport vest and a Joe Rocket Mesh Jacket, back pack and a well ventilated dual sport helmet. As long as you keep a steady flow of air hitting the vest, your cooler core temperature & the vests collar will help keep your neck cool to & prevent you from even breaking a sweat ( no kidding ) even in 100 degree heat. If you want to ride long distances, fill up a couple of water bottles or a Camelback hydration pack filled with ice water and keep pouring that water onto the vest as your riding, the vest will soak it up like a sponge and it will continue to keep you cool as long as you have water to keep it wet, Cheers !
Works fine over my Klim Overland Jacket.
The scary Orlando traffic begs for Hi Vis.
Vest folds up and fits in jacket inner pocket when not in use, good thing as it can slide off if you have vest unfastened to have jacket unzipped.
Overall I'm happy with this product.
The price is tolerable. Yes I would buy it again.
I was very disappointed in the Iceburg vest. The only time I felt it cool me was when I took it off. I used a mesh jacket, then a long sleeve tee-shirt but neither way did it help cool me.
It may be the fairing of the motorcycle does not let enough air circulation. Bottom line is I wasted my money on it.
