Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V2 Rear Tire

Not a tire for touring or commuting, Pirelli’s Diablo Supercorsa SP V2 is instead the ultimate choice for the rider who really only has one priority in life; speed. Most at home on the track, the Diablo Supercorsa SP V2, thanks to its barely DOT legal tread pattern, delivers unmatched grip in both hard cornering and braking scenarios.
  • High modulus fiber carcass offers a lower deformation ratio and makes the entire structure stiffer to allow a better synergy compounds and carcass
  • Single Element tread pattern permits a 24% larger slick shoulder area (vs. previous Diablo Supercorsa), increasing contact area and grip and wear regularity
  • New compounds offer great balance of mileage and grip in an ultra-high-performance product
  • Rear tire uses Pirelli’s patented EPT (enhanced patch technology) matched with a try-zone compound that helps optimize the contact patch for improved grip and handling

Put them on your R1

Take the stock oem Bridestones off. I had the Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SPs on my first model year Panigale 1199S and did a lot of track days on them. Had about 2500 miles on them when I sold the bike. Still had a lot of wear left. I don't ride in the rain so I can't comment on their wet traction.

Amazing tires!

So, these were original equipment on my 2015 BMW S1000RR with DDC and the forged wheels (i.e. 200 width in the rear). I'm 6'1" and 230lbs in street clothes, probably at least 250lbs with my gear on. I'm not abusive on tires (no burnouts, wheelies, or any of that BS), but I'm not riding like a Grandma either, seeing low 50deg angles in the CO canyons at ahhh, an elevated pace. They are amazing tires, never a hint of slip anywhere, even on the BMW! They don't warm as quickly as the Metzler M3's on my '01 Gixxer 1k, and they DO get a little dicey when it's in the low 40's or below (not as bad as a DOT race take-off), but they're a very confidence-inspiring tire. After riding the Gixxer for over 14 years and 79,000 miles, on nothing but Metzler tires, I felt almost immediately comfortable on the tires, and the bike (good job BMW!). I bought a set of M7's months ago.....and haven't mounted them because I hadn't been able to use up the Supercorsas. Amazing, since I was told to expect 2,000 miles or less out of them. In riding them, and talking to knowledgeable tire guys, I am absolutely convinced that keeping proper pressure in them is the key to longevity. Even with only 3mm tread depth front and 4mm tread depth BRAND NEW (the tire measurement gage says to replace them when new!), I have about 5,600 miles on the rear! I replaced the front about midway thru that, as it appeared to be wearing out sooner, and they both about done. I run 40psi rear, 34 front. I am convinced that excessive carcass flex and the resultant overheating from idiots running race pressures on the street (20's, you know, to be all Ricky-Racer) is responsible for the accelerated wear rates these clowns see. Unless you're racing, if you only get 2,000 miles on these, you're doing something wrong. I LOVE these tires, and may actually trade the M7's in and put a new set of Supercorsas on. The only other thing I'll note, not even a complaint, is that you must realize that these are basically race tires with grooves, and in addition to the low-temp issues, the limited grooves mean YOU the rider, need to slow down when you're in heavy rain. As long as the tires are warm, they still grip well on wet roads, it's only in standing water that they can't displace enough water. If you can afford them, and don't typically ride in really cold weather often, or are smart enough to be cautious if you do, these are amazing tires.

What a great tire!

I can get these as track take-off's for $50-$75, depending on how many I buy, it's an excellent deal.... What a great tire. I went from Battalax, to Angel GT's and now the Super Corsa's, lasted me quite a while unfortunately a metal fragment in my rear the other day did one in! Probably going to get them again too.

BUY THEM! NO REGRETS!

This will be my second set. I'm hooked! Confidence is thru the roof. Yes pricy. Yes short life span. Yes super sticky. Yes performance is awesome. Yes makes your bike look super nice! I went with size 200/55zr-17 on the rear on my 07 yamaha yzf r1. Couldn't be more happier. Definitely a must own.

The ONLY tire for your HP4

I bought a 2014 HP4 and at the same time switched to these tires. These Pirelli's are a great sticky tire for aggressive riding. Warm up quick and stay sticky even in wet weather. I'm on my first set so I'm not sure about tread life but you give up tread life for a more sticky tire, and these have lasted 2+k so far.

Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP

These are the OEM tires for my 2012 Ducati Panigale 1199S. Incredible grip and control. Really gives you confidence to lean in hard at the corners. I get about 2000 - 2200 miles on a rear tire but that is with a very spirited riding style. About 3 - 4 times more mileage on the front tire.

The good devil.

My Seed Triple R came with these tires. Overall great tires, very sticky and have good handling. Not so great in when its wet out. My guess because the limited thread pattern/grooves. Set of tires lasted 2200 miles on the street with spirited pace.

2013 BMW HP4 200/55/R17

Ultra sticky tire and the warm up speed is incredibly fast!!! Rear tire lasted me about 4000-4500 miles. I haven’t had any track days with them yet but I’ve had many canyon runs and aggressive street riding. If you don’t mind compromising a little tread life for grip then these are the tires you need. Around corners they hold great. Somewhat sketchy when it rains though, I personally wouldn’t try anything too aggressive on overly saturated grounds.

Great Tire

I'm very satisfied with this tire even better than the one it replace by Pirelli. They came stock on my bike and from the time it was mounted it grabbed the road now worry about new tire slip. Its well worth the money you pay for them. Have not used it in the rain yet so can't say about wet traction.

Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V2 Rear Tire

Excellent track day tire although tread life is a bit sub-par. Solid tire if you're looking for grip. Will never go back to 2 ct's.
