    Good tire

I have d606's on front and rear of my drz400, they perform great on pavement and are awesome on dirt roads and trails. I dont have any issues as far as vibrations or cornering on pavement and normally ride 70 to 85 mph on twisty roads. The only downside I have found is they wear fast. I have about 2500 miles on mine and expect to be down to the wear bars at 4000 miles. I expected this and will definitely buy another set when the time comes. I would strongly recommend this tire to anyone.

    Excellent dual sport tire

The Dunlop 606 is an excellent long wearing solid handling tire on my DR-Z400S. I have had two sets of these for long distance off road trips (Trans America Trail and Great Divide Ride). They performed very well on dirt roads, single track, and paved highways. I like that they are crowned for the street, so they perform surprisingly well in paved twisties leading up to the dirt road. They have performed well in mud and sand too. These are a great tire if you do more than 50% off road.

    Great tire

Truly a 50/50 tire that doesn't compromise road for trail or vice versa. I'm on my second rear tire now, after putting 2,800 miles on the first. On trail, it does great. I've ridden everything from mud and snow to hundreds of feet of exposed bedrock and hare scramble courses. Handles great on hardtop. Curvy mountain roads, with the bike over far onto the outer lugs with no problem whatsoever. Hundred miles at a go on the interstate, above 90 MPH on this tire. Little noisy is only downside.

DUNLOP D606 DUAL SPORT REAR TIRE

This is my go to tire I started on my KLR 650 and now on my Drz 400. I think this is the 5th set and I will buy them as long as they stay the same tire! I can tear off any tires in 1,300 mile rides but these ARE THE BEST (follow the break in instructions). You will have a tire that is the best consistent handling and it has long life for a knobbie.

Great tire, great off road and lasts a long time off. However on road I get 900 miles and its gone. I do like the tire though.

D606 is great for trail riding

I've been running D606s on my DRZ for 10 years of trail riding. They hold up great in the Phoenix desert and also work nicely in the forest of Flagstaff. I ride 95% off road but it's nice to have a street legal tire when you need it.

Great tire for off road and on road use! Replaced my rear factory tire on my 2012 Honda XR650L with this on.

    Dunlop 606

This is the third D606 I've had on my KLR 650 in the past five or six years. I ride a bunch of highway and a lot of off road. I've also had the thing in snow and ice though without ice screws that was pushing it a bit. I'd put a little over four thousand miles on the first and upwards of six on my last one with that one ending pretty bald. There were signs of some knobs cracking out especially around the edges of both but have still never actually lost one.

Do not buy for dual sport!

I put tire on before a 1500-mile dual sport trip. Before I had 200 miles most of the center tread lugs had broken off. I bought because of the reviews. I don't know if I got a bad one or what. Anyways started my trip off with and extra $200 bill at the nearest shop. No Bueno!

    Will buy again

The good: Heavy sidewall; you can run these things flat. Awesome offroad traction in all conditions. Felt confident on the slab. The bad: Might get 3k miles out of the rear; twice that on the front before it cups too badly. Noisy. Very difficult to spoon onto a rim; That can also be a plus since, like mentioned, if your tube ever goes flat, you can ride back to civilization without it coming off the rim.

    D606 Rear 130-80-18 (690R)

Excellent. Last trip 3000 miles in Baja, 65% offroad 35% road. Excellent hookup in the nasty stuff, reasonably smooth on pavement and minimal slip and slide. Front worked equally well. Just bought another set.

These are a great tire for the Dual Sport Adventurer and they have a 4 ply sidewall and lots of bite. A little noisy on the tar seal but still a good product!

    Dunlop 606

I have been running these tires on my XR650L's for years now. I tried other brands but never found anything that worked as well as the Dunlop. I have never experienced the chunking/knobs ripping off problem that others complain of. The wear rate could be better but not at the cost of traction. After my next 11 days in the deserts of California and Nevada I expect to have this set half worn out and will have another set ready to go on.

Dunlop D606 front and rear tires

I have a 2011 Husaberg FE570S. I've been riding asphalt to get to FS roads and trails, so I need tires that are diverse. I've been using Pirelli MT21 for years, and like them, but wanted a better tire on dirt. The D606 fits the need. It has about 25% better traction and far better impact-damping when you hit hard rock edges, etc. With the D606, there is a very small handling loss through HARD turns on pavement; they are as good on dirt/gravel roads, and they are superior on dirt and trails.
