Michelin Starcross MS3/Starcross Junior MS2 Rear Tire

Developed for intermediate to soft tracks, Starcross MS3 tires helped win five MX2 World Championships. Starcross MS3 tires deliver the best traction of all Michelin® motocross tires on loose dirt, thanks to their widely spaced knobs. The Starcross®MS3 tire excels in steering precision and braking performance.

  • Soft-Intermediate Compound
  • Developed especially for serious racers
  • Reversible tread pattern with a tread-wear indicator that clearly shows when to reverse the tire on the rim -when the "M" disappears, the tire can be turned around
  • Mirror-image knobs provide equal traction in both directions on a wide range of terrain
  • StarCross features a compound designed for mixed-soft conditions
  • Strong casings incorporate three cross-woven polyamide plies
  • Staggered shoulder knobs for superb cornering action

Wow

This tire rips! Got it for mainly southwick and some trail riding! This tire hooks into everything. I've ridden it for about 5 rides now and it's holding up great! I would recommend this tire to anyone where a softer to intermediate tire is needed. Not to mention the price was great too.

Great tire!

I got this tire to try it out, because I normally use a M5B or a Bridgestone m403 in the summer, and I was completely impressed with the durability and traction of this tire. I will buy again for sure.

Great loose soil/sand tire

This is my second one. During the summer drought it had the tendency to chunk a little, but it's not designed for hard-pack anyways. In the sand/loose soil/mud this thing is like a mini paddle tire.

Gets better with age

The greatest traction I have ever had. My 525 KTM tears this tire up but that is a good thing. Every time a knob chunks out it gives me three to five more biting angles and keeps the lugs from rounding over. The more I tear up the tire the bigger my smile is. A great product, I will never run anything else.

Great Tires

Put them on my sons 2006 CRF150f. world of difference, we ride in Northern Michigan and digs in the sand and holds up to harder surfaces...

only one gripe

This is a great offroad and motocross tire. I use them on my CR250 and XR100 and they hook up pretty well. It was difficult to mount the tires, but it worked. My only problem is that the center knobs wear out kinda quick on the CR250.

The tire fits great and is well balanced for its size. The cups could be softer to help with traction. The tire holds and pulls well through corners, but lacks a little bit of traction during hill climbing. I would definitely buy this tire again for future track and trail use.

WoW

I put these tires on my Rm-85 big wheel and these have been the longest and most traction set of tires I have put on it yet. And what I race and ride through, I need it. But I have nothing bad to say about this set of tires.

Starcross MX tire

Worked great in sand dunes and on trails. Haven't had it on CFR150R long enough to know how long it will last.

This tire is great!

I love my Michelins! I've tried alot of different off road tires, and I won't use anything else! I've been using the S12 for a long time and this new MS3 IS EVEN BETTER! grip, grip, grip! and seems to be lasting even longer. I think I have a new favorite dirt tire! and it's the MS3. Sidewalls are heavy duty.
