Firstgear Kili Lo WP Boots

A unique hybrid of sorts, the Firstgear Kili Lo WP boot takes the waterproofing of a touring boot, the cut of a hiking shoe and matches it together with proper riding protection. Ankle high, these boots feature molded protectors on both sides of the foot with reinforcements on the heel and toe. Fully waterproof, the Kili Lo uses a simple lace closure to maintain a comfortable fit on and off the street bike; perfect for the urban rider.

Size Issues

For the past 8 years I wore the Firstgear "VeraTex" boots. They were great boots and lasted longer than expected. Alas they are worn out and I ordered the same size in Kili Lo WP boots by Firstgear. Although the boots claim to be the same size, they are not. The sole length is the same but the with is at least 1/2" narrower and the instep is so tight that my foot could not slide into the boot. Same manufacturer, same boot size but different actual size. Almost like a ladies boot. If I go to size 13 I may look clownish and that wouldn't do!

So far so great

I bought these boots in size 8 - my normal shoe size is 8-1/2.....the fit is right on. The stiffness relaxed after a few days and these boots are now as comfortable as my street shoes....no problem walking around for hours in them. I took a 1000 mile road trip and have worn them every day. Haven't been in a rain storm yet so we will see if they are truly waterproof. I highly recommend these boots from my experience!!!

Kili Lo Boots

I was surprised that these boots were so stiff. From the pictures, I thought they were more like a beefed up tennis shoe, which is kinda what I wanted. I was more surprised to see the hideous material lining the boot...why not just use black or dark gray material rather than this bizarre art deco pattern? Thankfully I only have to look at it when putting the boots on. I also do not care for the way the shoelaces constantly get grabbed by the Velcro of the cross over flap.

Good Boot

Comfortable and fit well as in the size is as described. Looks good as well. The finish around the inner flap behind the laces is inconsistent from boot to boot and cut poorly. The shift pad above the toe portion is slippery. Not good. Good. All in all, I'm quite satisfied with this boot.

Great Boot

I was looking for a lightweight boot and this one fit me best. I've got narrow, sensitive feet and I felt comfortable in them right away. Walking or riding. Tried the Alpinestars Fastlane and they felt good too. They offer more feel but a little less protection. The Kili Lo is a great compromise. Haven't had it long enough to judge wear though.

Not too bad

Just got these boots. They offer good protection and are well built. Foot support is not that great. I cannot imagine myself walking around for too long with shoes. I own two pairs of icon boots and the support inside the boots is excellent.
